Wittlake and Bravo Young commit

Congrats PSU! Both Hammers. Think this means Fix is out?
That's a big question. I'd bet he'd fit in the magical PSU scholarship division machine. In the class/125-133-141/redshirt/greyshirt equation? I'll bet Cael has thought of that. Maybe. Someone write him a memo.

Just Kidding. Congrats to y'all, two really good gets for sure. The arms race of recruits in the future will be as much a pleasure to watch as the future team title battles will be.

Awesome get for you guys in RBY. Out of no where really. Watched a lot of him in person down here in Tucson. Comes from a great wrestling school in Sunnyside but yes...think this means no Fix

Was it RBY who said he and Gable Stevenson were going to go to the same school?
Yes, kinda. Steveson once tweeted that they were a package deal. RBY retweeted that, but I can't recall if he ever actually concurred.

Steveson also once proclaimed himself and Teasdale a package deal. So take those FWIW.

Great news, quite the counterpunch from Cael and Co. to some of the recent commits for other teams!!! Its hard to project juniors in HS but what weights are people projecting these guys at?

Wittlake will almost certainly go 184 after Bo graduates, with Hall at 174.

Flo ranks RBY at 126, so guessing 133-141 ... but that's just a guess. IIRC he was at 113 last year.

Busiello 33/41
RBY 33/41
N. Lee 41/49
J. Lee 57
Manville 65/74
Wittlake 84
A. Nevills 97

Nobody from PA, but if that eliminates Cutch butthurt, I'm all for it. Guys I'd like to see added:

S. Nevills 285 '18
K. McHenry 125 '19

Guessing 125 to begin with unless he has a growth spurt but he may be rangy enough to start out at 133. To be honest, this is bigger than Wittlake IMHO. Good kid and is excited to "wrestle the best."

Told him if he beats Lee or Teasdale, I'd post a pic wearing a PSU hat on Twitter and on here because he jokingly said he'd send me a PSU hat to replace my Iowa one. As you know, mixed feelings because he is a Tucson kid but am glad he didn't go where I thought he was going. Very happy for him...sour grapes towards you guys.

Wow, RBY was as unexpected as Wittlake was expected. This is great news. Both those guys are a lot of fun to watch so I'm sure dodgeball will come naturally.

I gotta think this means Fix to OSU despite the RBY to 141 calculations I see everyone doing above, simply because of the likely scholarship allocation RBY would have commanded. Or maybe not, only a few more weeks before we know for sure.

I think he's a 133-141, just out of curiosity was that destination Nebraska?

No. ASU neither although if they didn't throw the kitchen sink at him, they are wrong. They have had trouble keeping the few elite Az kids that come out of our state. Guess that hasn't changed.

Whittlake "said Cael was a big factor and one of his idols, and while growing up he watched a lot of clips of Cael to implement some of Cael's style to his own.

Wittlake also mentioned how great the workout room is, and that getting the chance to work with Bo Nickal, Mark Hall, and David Taylor will help him become a better wrestler."

Kurt is a great kid and super athletic. Had the pleasure of coaching him many times as a youth wrestler on my travel team. Absolute stud on his feet. Now I coach against him and my wrestle, Shane Hanson-Ashworth, has beaten him twice (Escape the Rock and National Prep semi-finals). Gonna be fun watching both of these kids over the next three years.
