Wolve repellant

Wolve is hospitalized, apparently almost choking to death yesterday swallowing that humble pie.

Has he posted A N Y T H I N G since the UMich - Wiscy game began yesterday? (I didn’t think so.)

I miss his [wolve] Rutgers Al-like optimism. I want home to explain Jimmah today

There’s a huge difference, Al is funny guy that means no harm and is enjoying the interplay with opposing fan bases. Plus he doesn’t take seriously what he says. Wolvie is an arrogant UM fanboy that believes the winged helmet douches and Hairball are Gods gift to football. If UM had won yesterday he would be shoving it down everyone’s throat. If Rutgers had won yesterday, Al would have been as shocked as anyone else. And I seriously doubt we would have heard a peep from him, because he would have already been working on next weeks comical offering.

Brings back some memories. My HS in South Philly was run by the Norbertine order of priests and brothers which was based in Wisconsin. They adapted “On Wisconsin” to be the HS fight song: “Hail, South Catholic”.
Of course, the only fight song I knew growing up was the Notre Dame Victory March until I got to PSU.

Take that, Glov.

Did they change the words to "Hail, Bishop Neumann" after the school was renamed in 1978?

Jeez, guys. Wolve is joking. It's a joke. Sarcasm. Fake. Humor. Not real.

Come on.
I’ll disagree on that one. It seems to me that based on his outrageous posts that if he was joking he would have appeared today with another Jim is God entry. That would have triggered us into a torrent of caustic replies. That would be the way to keep the con ongoing. No, I believe that he’s curled up in the fetal position somewhere sucking his thumb while staring at a life size picture of Hairball.

Unfortunately, I've been in that position during my life and wish no one to experience it. That being said, a side from Wolf72, it probably wouldn't hurt some of the U of M alumi to humble themselves a little. Stupid statement on my part. :D

Well, that’s certainly not going to happen in my lifetime.....or your’s.....or anyone else’s currently alive on the face of the earth!

To tell the truth, Tom, I don’t know. I left in ‘68 and I never looked back, to tell the truth. I wanted to go to Roman but that wasn’t allowed. In any case, the school was located originally in a different part of South Philly and was known as Southeast Catholic for many years. When the diocese built the new school at 27th & Moore, it was named after Bishop Neumann, who went on to be canonized. The nickname was The Pirates. Now the school has merged with the South Philly girls at Maria Goretti and the nickname is The Saints.

In any case, sing along to “On Wisconsin”:

Hail South Catholic, Hail South Catholic
Honor to your name
We are here to bring you victory
Loyal through and Through
Rah! Rah! Rah!
Hail South Catholic, Hail South Catholic
Honor to your name
Onward to victory
We’ll win this game.

Pretty close. It’s been 51 years.

On, Altoona has the same melody.
