They wanted to take official visits. Franklin has his rule about taking official visits after being committed. So now they're decommitting with the chance to circle back around if they choose. This is for both him and Parks if you didn't notice that they're teammates. Toutant is more the outlier.

Unfortunately disagree, hope I'm wrong but someone is spreading significant negativity about the program. Thoughts from the board. See the future as being more Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin and emerging Indiana. Maybe staying on the field from time to time with OSU, Michigan. A CFB elite class is being developed and PSU is being relegated to second tier. The question is why???

Maybe .. just maybe ... Franklin is handling this new recruiting schedule wrong??? It seems like with the early signing date, we are seeing a slight adjustment to the entire recruiting calendar. I totally and 100% agree with Franklin's take that 'once you are COMMITTED then you agree to stop taking visits'. I agree with Franklin on this logic. But ... that being said, it seems like these other staffs are handling the new schedule AND getting commitments AND having their commits stick.

Is Franklin being un-realistic in this day and age to tell recruits that "once they commit, then he expects them to no longer go on other visits"??? Does Dabo have this rule? Saban? Do other coaches have this same requirement?

According to 247, the last two recruiting classes were ranked 3rd and 7th. Our blue chip ratio is Top 8 in the country. The facts indicate that Penn State is increasing its talent level and getting closer and closer to that elite tier.

And an "emerging Indiana"? Emerging from what? dormancy? Irrelevancy? the Basement?

There are quite a few power 5 schools with more decommits than us. Some with many more actually (see Gators, Florida for example). We focus on only Penn State so the sky appears to be falling but it happens at other places too ... I know ... shocking

I wouldn't say that's THE reason. THE reason is probably not being allowed to take visits and stay committed. But I think it's a pretty good sign that he might not be the best fit at PSU.

Both Toutant and Wingo have taken visits since committing, maybe more. JF seems to have not enforced that rule across the board and these guys and the coach appear to be pissed about it.

No he is not, but they shouldn't Commit unless they are 110%!
