RBY's wrestling IQ and athleticism are just off the charts. Really excited to see the leap he makes from year one to year two.
Cael knew everyone would move out/RS this year and that's why he scheduled the home and home with ASU. Genius, pure genius.
I must be missing something. How does scheduling ASU....who doesn't have anyone Red Shirting just as none of PSU starters are Red Shirting.....become "Genius" because other schools are losing wrestlers to Olympic Red shirts? Did I miss a memo?
Cael knew RBY was thinking about redshirting his true sophomore season. Cael knew many 2020 133 pounders were going to redshirt and present RBY an opportunity. Cael knew scheduling ASU to a home and home would make it difficult for RBY to actually take a redshirt. In 2018 Cael was moving his 2020 chess pieces into place for a world domination continuation.

You guys are funny. Cael, Cody, Casey, and Jake are very good at what they do … but ESP, clairvoyance, telepathy, precognition, and the like are not who they are. None want to be on that pedestal, either. Just solid, high-character guys with a passion for wrestling, and helping high school kids become the best versions of themselves in all aspects of life.
Yeah, easy, guys.. Cael and the coaches put their pants on just like the rest of you -- one leg at a time. Except, once their pants are on, they get gold trophies.
Of course I follow what you are saying as well as the earlier post. I follow your "Theory" that is. Taking events after they occur and fitting them in to a theory that says they were predicted by ( Fill in name ), Nostradamus, Astrologer, Wooly Worm, Farmer's Almanac etc. is easy to understand but much harder to believe.
* Cael scheduled a weekend trip to California/Stanford when McIntosh had no intention of Red Shirting.
* Neither Cael or RBY ever mentioned during recruitment and afterwards a scenario in which RBY would wrestle as a true freshman when his points at Nationals were not needed and then red shirt his following year when his points will almost certainly be needed.

It might not matter. Backs (and shoulders) can be killers. I haven't heard anything about not having a full recovery, but I'm always in the show-me camp when it comes to back (and shoulder) injuries.
As NOVA pointed out. Sorry you missed the kidding aspect of the post. Whether or not he would feel my finger if I pricked it, I doubt it. However, if he was close enough to hear me yell "ouch" he would be bright enough to understand the meaning of the situation and word.
