2016 Fargo Junior Freestyle begins today

Thanks for the "man on the scene" updates, Crop. Color me green with envy. You may have some company next year, Dude. I just need to settle a traffic ticket in Brainerd. ;)

This is how I heard you settled the last one.

I wish Allar was at a need weight for psu. I probably like him better in college than Berge, but I'm biased.

or do they still do the mini-bracket thing?

1 Yianni vs. 4 Sasso/Hardy

2 Lee vs. 3 Gfeller

I just love posts like this. The ref is right down on the mat a foot from the action. You are watching in 2 dimensions on a PC or on TV but YOU know could see better than the ref. To funny but typical.

It's the finals. Refs are scared to end/decide a close match. He was pinned.

Or phone.

Of course, there are counter-arguments:

Wow again. That was an OW-worthy performance by Nick Lee.
If there is an are Nick Lee needs to work on it's letting guys get to his legs easy...Needs to be quicker and stronger with his hips....Overall looked very good !!!!

NoVa i texted 2 of my best friends who are at Fargo and both were right in front of the mat and said he was pinned for at least a full second...Freestyle is touch fall in case you don't know....lol

Where is Shields-Colbray going? He's good. Helps that Moore was up probably 2weights, but he's great.

Thank you Lemon...I watched it 3 times and teasdale was pinned and should have lost...I just feel for the other kid....
I'm not at liberty to say whether he was pinned or not but I will say he didn't lose because of the no call. He lost because Gavin scored more points. I feel for the kid because he lost but not because of the way he lost. Sorry, that's just how I feel. I've done their job so I respect a referees decision more than most though...

Watching on the stream, I had the thought that he was probably pinned, but at a point where the referee and the camera weren't in position to determine. "Probably" isn't good enough though, refs can't be everywhere at once. Until we implant RFID chips into wrestlers' shoulders (uh, yeah, I'm totally not endorsing that idea) there's going to be judgment calls and human error and that's perfectly fine.

Exactly my thoughts after reviewing the video. I'm just not as clear and efficient as you in putting my thoughts into words. :)

As I recall the ref was on the far side of the action and had to jump over to get into position to see Teasdale's back. By that time Teasdale was no longer pinned. But, he sure looked pinned from our camera's vantage point. Could that be challenged? I'm guessing not. That said, Teasdale was clearly the better wrestler. But that was one great throw!!!

Even Iowa fans were kinda thinking he was pinned.

Thought he was pinned too...Some of the officiating was horrible. Anybody catch that ref in the Gremmel match? If a great looking woman was laying down with her legs wide open, he would have found a way to stay on his feet.

Sometimes they call it, sometimes they don't but he was wrapped up tighter than Spyker on an ALL CAPS run and Gavin got out and won the match.

That throw was ridiculous. I was thinking as he was halfway through it that he was going to get trapped underneath if he didn't turn because he went straight back. Impressive of Teasdale to shake that off and come back because he was fighting off his back for awhile.

I streamed it through my tv and recorded the finals but too dumb to figure out how to post it on here. I'm sure flo will have it shortly to view.

Bottom line match should have ended in a fall...Oh well ref's are human BUT that is sad big time !!!! Have to feel for that other kid....

All the best. Any place that groomed the greatest weak side linebacker of all time (The Hammer) can't be too bad.
Back in the mid 90's work transferred me down to a small town in Virginia named Woodstock. Anyway, the Internet was quite new to me at the time and was fascinated to learn as much as I could about my heros. I happened to look up Jack Ham one day and was shocked to find out he went to a military prep school for a year before enrolling at Penn State. I was living directly accross the street from Massanutten Military Academy...the school Ham attended for the year.

All this chatter about he was pinned well ref didn't call it and that is not why the kid lost still had plenty of time to outscore Teasdale. Can't leave it up to the official...Now this was told to me by many Penn State fans In Okl City when most of us felt Evans had Perry pinned in the semis . Can't blame the official(by the way I thought he was pinned also and hollered Ohhhhhhhhhh shit and then caught heck from Mrs. ) :)
