  • Son Heung-Min has warned Liverpool and Manchester City that Tottenham are coming for them, having declared it a three-horse race for the Premier League title.

Spurs came from behind to beat Watford 2-1 on Wednesday night, while Liverpool and City both dropped points.

The South Korea international scored in his first appearance following the Asian Cup then spoke about how Tottenham will continue to chase their rivals.

'I don't care that people are saying Liverpool or Man City,' Son said when asked about the title race. 'We are still there, we're going for it.

'We'll see what is going to happen at the end of the season. They're very good sides like us. We have to just focus on ourselves. Every single game, get three points, that's most important. The season is still long.'

Son and Fernando Llorente scored late goals at Wembley to leave Spurs two points off City and seven off Liverpool.

'We don't want to think about it,' Son continued. 'So many things can happen, you can't even imagine.

'We just believe in our own games, get as many points as possible, and see what happens at the end of the season.'

Son watched Spurs while away with South Korea as they were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Chelsea then the FA Cup by Crystal Palace. Tottenham face Newcastle next in the Saturday lunch-time kick-off in the Premier League.

Son said: 'It hurt like you can't even imagine. I must follow, if I don't follow I can't sleep! They were on TV. The Premier League, it's everywhere in the world.

'When I saw the Fulham game we scored in the last minute, I was happy but also Dele was injured. It hurt.

'This was very important to get three points again. It was a difficult game but we showed good character and got three points. It was very important.'

That's cute.

Great singing from Bournemouth fans yesterday in their crushing of Chelsea. Chelsea fans had earlier been singing “its happened again, it’s happened again, Tottenham Hotspur, it’s hapoened again” - alluding to their season in peril due to another Kane injury.

Well after Bournemouth scored to make it 3-0 and put the game on ice, Bournemouth fans sang, alluding to their shock 3-0 victory last year, “its happened again, it’s happened again, you’re losing to Bournemouth, it’s happened again”

Manchester United at Leicester. Terrible turnover by Leicester is followed by a beautiful pass by Pogba to Rashford. 1-NIL. , United, about 12 minutes in.

It’s still close. This stretch is where we find out whether Ole is a serious candidate for permanent manager.

United hang on for the 1-0 road victory. They’re unbeaten in 10 matches under OGS and lurking right at the Top 4 with Spurs likely to struggle for a couple of months and Arsenal, well Arsenal.

I’m still learning the English Premier League, but NBCSN devoted a good bit of time today to discuss the move to start Rashford over Lukaku. The two analysts on the pregame show applauded the move. It obviously worked today.

Manchester City versus Arsenal about to start. City have been slumping lately. Do they rebound today?

Lukaku is an interesting case. He’s a £75 million transfer who’s contributing little right now. The same with Alexis. Both players are likely to be sold this summer with north of £100 million coming back to Utd. The question is then who they bring in as replacements? They still need more up the middle, I think.

Thanks. That's a lot of money to get little production.

Yep. CB is still a need. Love what Shaw has been bringing lately out wide. At least one of the two has to go.

Shaw, Rashford, Pogs and Martial underline what a better “man manager” OGS is than Jose. Get a striker to complement Rashford, a CM to do the same with Pogs, and maybe a good CB and they’re a title contender. They have to sort out some depth questions, but that’s a good starting XI.
