2018-2019 English Premier League thread

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

Dumb English Premier League question. Who are the kids that accompany the players onto the field prior to a match? Are they the players' kids? Is there a contest to pick kids to accompany the players? Is it tied to a charity or cause?

Manchester United strikes first. Rashford on a beautiful pass from Pogba. 1-0 nearing the end of the first half.

The United game was completely turned on its head when Sissoko got hurt. United have a huge advantage in athleticism in the MF and Forward block. Sissoko had been doing a good job of providing cover for Tottenham’s CB, keeping tabs on Pogba and he allowed Trippier to get forward. Almost immediately after Sissoko went down Trippier went forward, Rashford ran in behind and Pogba hit him. 1-0 United.

My wife watched the final few minutes of the Spurs-United match with me. She just asked if "real football" was on.

If Kane is hurt for any length of time Spurs is dead in the water. With Son gone for the Asian games and Sissoko potentiallly out as well they become completely vulnerable to anyone who can counter attack with pace.

What a season. The fight for 4th might get interesting as well.
United have won six straight and are still six points out of Fourth in the table. That shows how poorly they’d become under Mou. Them getting to the top four would be a managerial masterclass by Ole. If it happens, I hope he’s considered permanently. He understands the United ambition and way.

Paging chicken-sheet mainer??

:p;););):p

Hey Grant, he's doing this I think:

I thought the spurs were sneaking up on liverpool. more like this now....

Kane out until March. Tough loss.

That kills off any chance Spurs had at making a title run. They will find it difficult to hold onto top 5.

Still think City is better than the Liverpuds over the course of a season.

Wolves vs. Leicester City. 2-0, Wolves, at the half. It looked like we might have an ASS. BEATING. brewing. Nope. Leicester scored two goals in the first five minutes of the 2nd half. Now 2-2 in the 53rd minute.
