Being a Spurs fan, of which I am one, is not the point. It's the fact that a bar named Founding Fathers is a designated viewing location for English football. Can it also be booked for cricket?

Spurs have a legit chance to reach the final. There, they will be the underdog. But, in a 1 game final, anything can happen. As much as I don't care to see Spuds win it, I am sick of Barca and I can't root for Liverpool.

CliffsNote: c'mon Ajax!! :D

Let's go Spurs!!
It's gonna be a Son-ny day in Manchester.
Wow, good match, City up 1-0 at the half. Tottenham playing with real fire, very impressive. That one-on-four rush near the half by the Spur, wow, that would have made the goals-of-the-decade list were it not perfectly played by the City keeper.

I caught only the last twenty minutes of the half and only just now saw a replay of the goal, a pretty set-up poorly defended.

"Tottenham have not won the league title since 1961, before the Beach Boys formed."

Can you more knowledgeable guys explain how these teams have only played 44 times? They play twice a year and the league has been around for a long time. Were either or both of them on lower levels for a long time?

I am not an expert, but I believe Manchester City was pretty bad for quite a while.

They have played way more than 44 times.
I would guess that they have played 44 times in the premier league, which was formed in 1992.
Before that they played in the first division, which later became the "championship league" (basically division 2).

Ah, I see. Arbitrary. It's like those NFL fans who think the league history began with the Super Bowl.
Thanks, GG

I said it a million times before but United should not have simply handed Solskjaer the job based on the bump a team always gets when hiring a new manager. Pochetino again showed himself to be among the best managers in the world on the weekend. He wanted to come to United. Why not wait and see what happens and then make a bid for him? The Glazers need to sell the club or hire someone who knows what they are doing to run it.

Pathetic performance for Arsenal. Limited options for Emery, but that defense was putrid. Mustafi wouldn't start for my New York Red Bulls. Big changes at the back needed this summer to become a serious contender. My high school basketball coach used to tell us that we could score 100 points per game.... But couldn't stop the other team from scoring 101. That was Arsenal yesterday.

I didn't see the Arsenal-Crystal Palace match yesterday, but if I remember correctly reading the box score, Arsenal possessed the ball 73% of the match. Obviously Palace were efficient, plus I noted the comments above about Arsenal's defense. Still, when you have the ball about three-quarters of the match, you should win.

Sorry, LionJim.

As Alphabets said, the defense was dysfunctional. It is what it is. It's not coaching, I don't think, it's personnel.
