2018-2019 English Premier League thread

City win, 3-1. Crystal Palace made it interesting, scoring on a free kick to make it 2-1, but City scored a late goal to win by two.

Can the REDS. answer?

Tomorrow is the 30th anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster. NBCSN captured a wonderful tribute to the 96 Liverpool fans who perished that day.

Liverpool-Chelsea scoreless at the half, but the REDS. take the lead in the 51st header on a Mane header. 1-0, Liverpool.

Holy crap! Salah with a screamer to put Liverpool up, 2-0. That was ridiculous.

The entire second half has been played in Chelsea’s end so far.

Chelsea just missed a golden opportunity. Hazard made a clean break from the Liverpool defense on a beautiful entry pass, and he hit the post. He had an open goal. It should be 2-1. Still 2-0.

Moments later, Hazard was stoned by Alisson at close range.

Naturally!

Damn crickets awfully quiet!

Someone needs to tie with Man City to put Liverpool back in control of its own destiny. Hard to believe they could have one loss in 38 games and not win the championship.
That's pretty much it. Man U has the best shot.
If Liverpool loses by a point, it may have all come down to this save. I think it was within a cm or two from being a goal.

It was also nice to see King Kenny being shown after the goal.

He did steady the Liverpool ship years ago.

Thank you Kenny!

Agreed. That was cool.

I rarely can understand what EPL fans are chanting during matches, but one thing that is clear at Liverpool: Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Mo Salah!

Boy, Barcelona obliterated Manchester United. (Good call, LJL.) Since I don't watch the continental European leagues, it made me wonder if there's a consensus on the relative strengths of the leagues.

Liverpool needs Tottenham to win on Saturday, right?
City are two points behind Liverpool and have a game in hand. Yeah, basically City needs to lose once if the Reds are to finish on top. City has United next week, as well, so there’s that.

As I’m for the Gunners, I want Tottenham, Chelsea, and United to lose so it looks as if Liverpool will have to do without my support.

Or draw (with Liverpool winning out). Actually, a loss doesn't really help much more than a tie since MC leads the tiebreaker.
Now a loss coupled with another loss/tie would be a different story.
