2018 B1G Championship Session 4 Thread

Pletcher has 2 bonus point wins out of 20+ wins?
4.

And none of those 4 opponents were remotely close to .500 this year. The toughest was probably Maryland's Simmons, who was 2-15 entering the weekend.

Meanwhile in EIWAs, Cruz edged out Baughman 1-0 and he'll go to NCAAs undefeated.

Nick converts a low single against Limmex for 2, lets him up, and immediately gets another 2 off a high crotch-go behind. E1.
Lee go behind and works from top, RT up past 1:45, rides out. 6-2.

From neutral, Lee gets another 2, lets him up. 8-3.
Stuffs a Limmex shot, goes behind, 10-3. E1, 10-4.
Lee hits the same shot, 12-4, rides out.

Limmex starts from bottom, RT locked.
Lee eating up some more time from top, gets in front to look for the turn. Releases, 12-5. Sitting on a major here.
Limmex gets to a leg, but nice D from Lee. Stalemate.
Lee breaks him down goes behind and that'll secure the major. Rides out to a 15-5 MD and 3rd place finish.

Limmex takes bottom. Limmex out after @ 30 sec, 12-5. Limmex shoots, they scramble, and a stalemate with 30 sec left. Lee with a late TD, 14-5. With RT, it's a 14-5 major, and Nick Lee takes 3rd place

Shocked Carr handled Lee the way he did.

Carr was first. He got to Lee's leg before Lee could get to his offense. And when Lee did get a shot in, Carr was just funky enough to keep him from finishing. Add to that Carr was able to ride him enough to slow him down.

But I was surprised as well.

How does Carr go from beating Lee like he did to wrestling like hot garbage against McKenna. Very frustrating.

Only hope now is 5 for 5 by PSU, tOSU 0-4, and even then it may not be enough depending on how consolations and bonus go. Needless to say things look bleak.

I'm the biggest Nick Lee fan here, but one thing that has disappointed me a little bit with his season is he doesn't score on top much. When his take downs are neutralized or slowed down, he looks like a wrestler with limited tools. He hasn't always been that way. Then again, the level of competition was much lower. I'm not sure if it is strength or if he is still a little undersized for a 141, but I guess I would have hoped all that time and exposure to Retherford would have helped him in that regard.

Per 2
Zain defers. Sorensen takes bottom. Caution on Sorensen. OOB at 1:50. RT over 1 min. Zain not close to a tilt, but Sorensen not close to getting out. Rideout. RT @ 2 min for Zain

Per 3
Zain takes bottom. OOB with 1:48 left. Esc as they go OOB at 1:37, 1-0. Warning on hitting in the face. Sorensen working for a TD, but nothing. 1 min left. Zain gets a single, trying to come up and over, they scramble, and nothing. 30 sec left. End. With 1:36 of RT, it's a 2-0 win for Zain!!!!!!!
