2019 NCAAs -- Session 6 Thread

Lewis got 4 NF after locking a cradle when on top in the 2nd.

In the 3rd, Joseph had a single leg elevated, and seemed to be trying to go for more than just the TD, and ended up falling underneath Lewis, and giving up the TD. That was pretty much the match.

Joseph got in several times, but Lewis had good hips.

Credit to Lewis, he was the better wrestler tonight.

I was nervous about this match, but didn't expect an outcome like this.

Keep your head up Cenzo

And kudos to Mekhi, fantastic tournament earned everything

Cenzo pulled off two great finals acts and upsets.

This time he was on the other end of things.

It happens to the best: Dan Gable, David Taylor, and many others.

I certainly was rooting for Joseph, but he has never seemed to demonstrate the same level of dominance as other 3 time champions, let alone being a potential 4 timer. I’m sure Joseph works hard already, but I imagine his fire will be burning even hotter to regain his place atop the podium.

What's crazy is Joseph's head wasn't really that close to his knee. Lewis just locked it up anyway. Lewis is a helluva wrestler. Going to be fun to watch the next few years.

That was too bad. VJ had a ton of chances but just couldn't convert. He gets one of those attempts it's a different match. Hats off to Lewis with that cradle because that's not easy to do on VJ. He's hard as hell to keep down let alone do that.

Not surprised at all...it’s called atheticism...VJ doesn’t have it nor does Marinelli, those that say different have never competed. CJ is an athlete but he went up against a kid that’s way more athletic...heavy hips don’t count there. Say what you want, that’s a fact!!!!
