2019 NCAAs -- Session 6 Thread

141 should be more funky, free, and full of finesse ... at least relative to 133, which was a dogfight.

“I saw him quit” Suriano is classless as a champ. He is a victim in his own head.

I don't like his personality AT ALL, but he was totally the better wrestler in that match. Smith and Fix were embarrassing. I'm SO glad Oklahoma State is no longer the top dog in wrestling.

Fix literally grabbed his headgear while going on his back. I think Nick was right, he did kinda quit looking for a bs call to bail him out.

I agree, it wasn't a headgear pull. However, stallmate was called too soon. Or maybe not soon enough. Whatever, terrible match. It should never be seen again.

I love Smith, but he seemed like a punk there, trying to win on fake penalties and not actual wrestling, just like before. And since Lee won and Marinelli didn't make it, I can pull for your guys now.

I'm going with Joey here, but this could be awesome. Yanni is lighting fast.

John Smith has an issue with that stalemate. I'm 100 percent sure of that.

I admit that I'm beyond sick and tired of coaches whining about hands to the face, etc. etc., but I think Smith had a point there. Why call a stalemate in that situation?

Lizak (8-0), Micic (4-1), Fix (4-2) - I am not a fan and I don't feel good for him, but that title was well-earned. He controlled Fix the entire bout.

Where did the review of the headgear pull initiate? Did Smith have another bring to throw or did ref. review on his own? Was review initiated because ref saw Fix complaining about his headgear and if so that doesn't seem appropriate.

Also stalemate on the ride was wrong as well it seemed clear fingers were bent inside headgear to me.
