2019 NCAAs -- Session 6 Thread

Yianni has been all counter-defense. Needs to get on his offense.

Well we can’t say anything about that call with all the refs here. Even if it is the same guy from the other night

These challenges are getting ridiculous and ruining the sport to some degree in my opinion.

Yianni nearly with the TD and possible NF, but ref waved off the TD, and Okla. St. challenged. After video review, the call was confirmed. I agreed with the wave off and video review decision, but that was so-so close.

Yianni with a late TD from a scramble, then McKenna with a very late esc. Ryan throws the brick -- they challenge the TD. If it stands, it's a 4-4 tie. If it's overturned, it's McKenna ahead 3-2, and we have a little time to wrestle.

Call is confirmed, so it's 4-4, and we've going SV

A fans POV is a curious thing. If you read the Okie board it's a hole different thing.

Tough loss for McKenna. That TD call could have easily gone the other way.

Both warriors.

Yianni wins with a late TD in SV, over McKenna.

Tom Ryan's twitter should be buzzing about this match, as there was some controversy.

I thought YD had a takedown and 2 earlier and I guess I don't know the rules because the takedown they called does not look like control at all to me. I am not even sure YD knew he had the takedown as he did the dive under rather than push away for the escape.

Yianni is a bit of magician in terms of his escapes and strange takedowns or turns.

In fact, maybe the "Magical Yianni" could perform in clubs in the off-season.

That's how a potential all-timer wins a tough match. Gotta give it to Yianni.

I ****in hate challenges. It sucks the life right out of a match. Bob Mueller needs work. May as well get him involved at this point.

Do Ashnault and Jordan let it fly?

Their two matches this year have been both kind of high-flying.
