Surriano to 133. He'll avoid a repeat with Spencer. But I think Dayton Fix moves to 133 next year as well and the result will be there same
Suriano won't beat Gross or Micic either. Which means, if Fix goes 133, Ohio State is capped at 5th.Surriano to 133. He'll avoid a repeat with Spencer. But I think Dayton Fix moves to 133 next year as well and the result will be there same
From what I hear they will stay. But like you said can depend on the coach. You think they stay at Wisconsin? It sounds like Davis was big in their decision to commit. I guess that will partially hinge on who replaces Barry.
157 is a real bad weight for them no matter who they send out.On FRL today 34 min mark CP says MJo is dropping to 149, not RS mcKenna which effectively pushes Hayes out or to a real bad weight for him.
says that tOSU doesnt want to RS guys and wants to try and win next year and not concerned about 2020.

With 2020 being an Olympic year, since both McKenna and Martin wrestle freestyle, I can see both of them wanting to complete their college eligibility and have 2020 to focus on freestyle. On FRL today 34 min mark CP says MJo is dropping to 149, not RS mcKenna which effectively pushes Hayes out or to a real bad weight for him.

HAYES NEEDS TO HIT THE WEIGHTS HARD !!!!With 2020 being an Olympic year, since both McKenna and Martin wrestle freestyle, I can see both of them wanting to complete their college eligibility and have 2020 to focus on freestyle.
Bummer for Hayes, options, 157, sit or transfer.
This does not surprise me at all!at 59 min mark they talk Cassar and CP says he is staying. However, in bantering back and forth, infers that schools are contacting him about going. The inference is that there could be shady goings on.
Re: Hayes. Does Mizzou need a 141-149?157 is a real bad weight for them no matter who they send out.
Erneste, Eierman, and Leeth all return.Re: Hayes. Does Mizzou need a 141-149?
They are the deadlift champions.HAYES NEEDS TO HIT THE WEIGHTS HARD !!!!
I can guarantee you this does not happen. Wish full thinking for this board, but it’s not reality. Trust me on this.On FRL today 34 min mark CP says MJo is dropping to 149, not RS mcKenna which effectively pushes Hayes out or to a real bad weight for him.

So you are saying Rutgers is in the mix? That is to be expected, but why is ex Illinois head football coach Tim Beckman contacting Anthony? I suppose because he can't help himself.at 59 min mark they talk Cassar and CP says he is staying. However, in bantering back and forth, infers that schools are contacting him about going. I heard that to and am not convinced. We won't know for sure until Nov but I would bet money on several tOSU starters redshirting next year. Tan Tom has had enough of the PSU midweight hammer. Waiting for Nolf, Nickal, Shak and Nevills to move on in one batch will be too tempting for him to not want to wait it out. In the end it may come down to the kids. Most are probably only on partial scholarships and one more year is not an easy decision, let alone sitting on the bench for a whole year after starting.
No, about the all-in for 2020 part. Why would anyone who roots for Penn State, wish for Micah Jordan to move down to 149? He was just beaten 16-0 by our 157 pounder, who was wrestling on one leg. Trust me on this also.
To further my point and thinking, Haye’s dad Jason emailed ohiowrestling.net insider Bob Preusse directly on this rumor of KeShawn leaving the program and shot it down as completely made up and a false rumor, Hayes is going to be at Ohio State for the long haul. They are the deadlift champions.
Maybe he stays and beats Micah.
If Micah is definitely moving to 149, I bet Hayes is transferring.
The main thing I’m guaranteeing is KeShawn Hayes not being shown the door to have Micah move down to 149.
This scenario is absurd on several levels. First Hayes led the team in tech falls and was a top 5 wrestler at a weight he didn’t even know he was wrestling until a week before the season.
He’s a pre med student a great kid, let alone a great wrestler. What logic on this planet would make sense showing Hayes the door or bench and open up a giant hole at 57 for an unproved true freshman to come in and take Jordan’s place, just to put Micah at 49?
Just like Nato went 125 instead of staying 133 this year, they will fill the roster the best they can with the best wrestlers and won’t sit or show the door to anyone who was wrestling this year. You can bank that.
So this is where all the speculation arises. No one knows what’s happening yet, I guarantee you this. Tom Ryan, for as much as a sleezeball some on here portray him to be, will absolutely approach each wrestler and their families with a redshirt plan and approach them all before ANY announcement on it were to be made, out of respect to everyone involved.
He won’t tell someone on Flo ESPECIALLY of it’s intentions a few days after the season is over, it’s common sense.
If an announcement comes out from the coach’s mouth Micah is going 149, then a redshirt reload is the best educated guess because Hayes won’t be shut out and he’s not goin 157. The only person on the roster who loses out with a reload season is Micah, whose exhausted his eligibility and the reboot year would be his last.
So what would you do for a kid who deserves the best send off? You drop him a weight where Retherford graduates and Nolf isn’t. It’s simple logic, as well as reboot for the year Nickal, Neville’s, and Nolf graduate for the team race.
Just my opinions of course.
Hayes already shirted, so I don't understand him being part of any redshirt reload. If an announcement comes out from the coach’s mouth Micah is going 149, then a redshirt reload is the best educated guess because Hayes won’t be shut out and he’s not goin 157. I think the part you missed from my post I should have been clearer I apologize is if they do reward Micah to drop to 49, Hayes would drop to 41 and stay in the lineup while McKenna shirted.LOL..a fascinating post in which you make a point in the first half of the post, then spend the final two paragraphs, contradicting the point you spent the first 75% of the post making. Now I'm completely in the dark: Do you want Micah to to 157 or don't you?
We said the same thing about Tomasello. I'm willing to suspend judgment on that for a while.don't think Micah will or can make 49 next year. With all the redshirting at tOSU talk, one must remember that the wrestler wants that redshirt as well.
Bo Jordan said in an interview Micah weighed in 4 pounds below the 157 weight limit for the national tournament. So if he’s competing at 153 he without question can drop to 149 without breaking a sweat, you would imagine anyway.don't think Micah will or can make 49 next year. He could be put on an S&C plan to gain 15+ lb this offseason. That's not unchartered territory with athletes.
Moving him to 157 makes sense. If Jordan drops, OSU has 4 legitimate finalist candidates (141, 149, 184, 197) and an AA lock at 133. If Hayes can make the podium, and they can get 2 more guys to join him, they're in range if something goes wrong for us.
And, if Hayes adds weight to 157, then Sasso goes 149 in 2020.

It is amazing how much bigger he looks than Hall. I would love to know what he was weighing at the time of that match.
Wilcke of Iowa will most likely go down to 184 his more natural weight.
Hall is small.
