Or we’re not ready to give up on one of the top recruits in the country after his freshman season and see some positives in how he wrestled.

I wasn’t going to give up on SVN if he went 0-2 because Shayne has shown an awesome mentality. Facundo has regressed this year and quite frankly hasn’t improved at all in the last two years. As a HS junior I thought he could be an all timer here. Sadly there are many it just doesn’t click for. We seem to avoid most of those guys. Perfect case we bring in a vet stud at 165 and Facundo can take a year to regroup. He’s lost out there mentally.

I am not nearly as down on AF as a lot of you guys. If he can work on his finishing, he'll be right there.

Sure. He (Facundo) obviously needs to get better and more varied offense - way too many matches when he didn't get a single TD. And if his MO is to wrestle close, low-scoring matches, he needs to get a lot tougher on top.

No one is saying Facundo can't or won't improve, But you'd like to see a little more from a highly ranked recruit after two years in the program. Hopefully he'll figure it out.

I am used to Brooks stalking his opponents but Feldcamp held his ground. Made it interesting but Brooks is so good in all positions. Interesting to see if other opponents with more skill will take something form this match.
