I'm walking this back because I was a little hard on Spencer. Got to be tough losing your last PIAA match and NCAA match where you'd have been a 4× champ.
Here's to hoping he is there tonight because he's going to suffer loses in Freestyle wrestling and in life. Tonight would help him grow as a person in accepting defeat.
They are saying over on HR that Spencer and his family have already left the state.
Warner takes 5th, shakes the ref's hand and his opponent's, hugs his coaches. Pretty damn good career. I'm sure he'll celebrate tonight with some beers, some Iowa gals and a couple of raccoons. Well earned, young man!

We all know he isn't showing up
A few summers ago he was out for his run on the streets of ebensburg and he took the time to stop and talk wrestling. He knew I was a PSU fan and he genuinely seemed elated when I toldhim the entire area was proud of him and can't wait to see him on the podium one day. Great kid from a great family.
Seems strange to me that he would show up now. It could be my selective memory, but I didn't think that many MFF guys showed up for their matches. That said, Hillger just did it, too.
