Crookham. He's 1 in the Coaches' Poll, and will beat Fix on Quality Wins. Fix will win RPI. The other categories are a wash.
Jefe is there any way Ragusin can get the #3 over Vito assuming he wins Big Tens? Putting Crookham and Vito on the same side would suck, but Vito probably doesn't have the most impressive resume this year.

Seems likely. Of the categories:
- Ragusin wins Conf Placement, Win %, RPI.
- Arujau wins Coaches' Rank -- but that might change. Currently they're 3rd and 4th.
- Quality Wins is hard to tell without doing the convoluted math. Ragusin has more of them, but Arujau's best wins are better.

If Orine wins ACCs, he might also get seeded ahead of Arujau. Same category statuses as the Ragusin vs Arujau comparison.

I don't think Arujau can drop below Bailey (unless Bailey wins Pac 12s). So Arujau is probably the 4 or 5, gets Arine in the quarters and Crookham in the semis.

EDIT: I forgot that Little Rock is in the Pac 12, not B12. Doesn't really matter though. Bailey would still lose Coaches Rank and RPI to Arujau, and Arujau beat him H2H.

Who gets 1 seed at nationals if Fix also wins big12s?
Crookham has 2 wins against a national champ.
No doubt Crookham
I've watched Crookham his whole career. I didn't see today's match but I would be willing to bet his strength was one of the keys to his win. He has been stronger than his opponents his whole career. I posted during Christmas that he was benching 300+. Fix might be able to match his strength.???

Did Foca get hurt as well? He injury defaulted 4 minutes into his 3rd place match.

Well, Fix does have old man strength

Foca hurt his shoulder. Cornella re-injured his knee and is likely done. Vito hurt his knee.

Team still won, and qualified nine for the NCAAs.

Harvard's Conigliaro at 174 has lost three matches all year. Two of them this weekend to Cornell's unranked Baker who took 3rd from the 8 seed. Those points made the difference in the team score.

Fix has 20 quality wins points to Crookhams 17.5. You don’t get extra points for beating the same guy more than once, It’ll be close.

Outside of other reasons Crookham could get the 1, the National Champ wins aren’t a factor since it was last year and last year isn’t supposed to be allowed. . That Arajau was a national champ could figure into how a coach ranks a wrestler….ar least at the outset.

Thanks.

All I’ve got to say about 157 and 165 - interesting.

If Mitchell wins Bigs and he’s seeded behind Ramirez, that would be wrestlestatesque

I'm saying if you compare Fix and Crookham head to head the 2 wins this year against Vito certainly will come into the discussion for 1 seed

I believe Crookham absolutely deserves the 1 seed but I think the matrix is going to spit out Fix at the 1 Crookham 2 likely Ragusin 3 and Vito 4/5.

This is correct. They are even on head to head, win%, placement, and split RPI (Fix) and coaches (Crookham). Fix will go ahead on quality wins with 7 for 25 tier points and Crookham has 4 with 16.5 tier points.
