2024 Olympic Trials

We become the 3rd largest city in the Commonwealth 6x a year. Good biz around here--though I think student apartments is even better. I also can help you out, Willie, if you need a spot locally.
Just what Willie needs... A barnacle hanging from his lip when doing the pod cast soon after this event..

Tickets for Penn State v Iowa at BJC we’re going for $250 on secondary market. Fan gets 10 matches for that price. It shouldn’t be surprising that 4 sessions of the Olympic Team Trials - which come around once every four years and includes the top wrestlers in the US over the past 10-12 years (arguably, the most successful extended run in US freestyle history)- would be at the price points that they are. Judging by how quickly they sell out to the PSU season ticket holders- probably no more than 2500 people- they are probably significantly under-priced.
You can’t compare secondary market to the early access season ticket holder market. The equivalent compare would be $40.

And 10 matches plus a thrilling rivalry team component for many of us is the same or more interesting as 6 weight classes we actually care about.

I ended up getting two singles - not together, then two together showed up mandating 3 had to be purchased. So I have 5 and will most likely trying to sell at least two of them at a later date/when the ticks are in my hand...
Depending on what the ticket situation looks like Friday when I'm able to buy, I may be interested. I would really like to go to this with my son. Was hoping to get him tickets for his birthday and us make a guy trip out of it, but at this point, getting worried it'll sell out before I can get tix.

Well, shortly after I commented, I received a link for the Penn State Alumni Association. Funny thing is, I am not an alumni! I'm not complaining! Got our tickets!

If you're on the season ticket wait list there are a fair number of end zone 100 level sections tickets still available today.

Worth coming up to see if I can scalp tickets? I can't confirm I am going yet, but I do want to try to.

What are the prices on those out of curiosity?
About $285/each. I looked at tickets early in 123LL row BB. I quickly put them in my cart and they were $742/each. I dumped them from my cart and looked around at other tickets. 15 minutes later those 4 were still there. I hovered over it and the price was $482/each. I tried to buy them and someone else snagged them. Look on the left side of the price. It has DYN2 listed if they are dynamically priced tickets. It has "adult" in the same spot if they are fixed price. So the prices jump around based on demand. Technology is a bitch.

Takes one to know one! As an evil capitalist, i have to give props to the persons who applied dynamic pricing to the Olympic trial ticket process. Just the same, I’m left wondering just who benefits the most from dynamic pricing. Best guess is that Ticoffmaster has the know how and pays the organizing committee a nominal kickback in order to pull cash out of the big spenders.

They have DYN 1,2 and 3.

Are those “per-session” prices? Or for all 4 sessions total?

Ok, thanks. I was looking for a friend on Ticketmaster‘s website, and it appears they have tickets for each four sessions listed separately.

Yeah... If you are a PSU Wrestling Season Ticket Holder you had access to tickets starting at 10 AM on Monday. If you are a Nittany Lion Club member you had access starting at 10 AM on Tuesday. If you are a Penn State Alumni Association member you had access starting at 10 AM today. If you are a PSU wrestling team alumnus you get access starting at 10 AM tomorrow. General Public has access starting at 10 AM on Friday. FWIW... I'm pretty sure the wrestling season ticket holders isn't a fancypants dues paying club! :)
I think:

5/15: Season ticket holder
5/16: NLC member
5/18: On wait list for season tickets OR PSU Student

Don’t know about rest. But I got two emails (NLC and wait list) and my offspring got one (PSU student).

5/15 but 2 hours after the season ticket holders, was for previous USA Wrestling ticket buyers.

Neither bought up our cheap seats. :)
I think they have set aside certain numbers of seats in all sections for each phase of the presale and public sale. there were 50 yd line seats for sale today. I'd expect the same for the public sale tomorrow.

Snapped up 2 tickets for section C16. The lower bowl tickets were sitting around 400-430 a pop for all sessions

I'm going by myself. I don't want to buy a ticket and sit next to another team fan. Any Penn State fans have 1 extra ticket? Looking up to $250. Upper level. I can Venmo, PayPal or Zelle. Thanks.

Never mind. I went back in and section C17 seats 1&2 opened up. Thank God, I'm a big and tall guy. I have trouble sitting in no leg space. Always in pain after sitting in cramped seats.
