21-14 with 5 to go.
Okeefe with 9 goals.
Only the second team ever to score 20+ points twice in an NCAA tournament (1990 Syracuse was the other).

My condolences.“GOING BACK TO PHILLY...”
My condolences.
Great game right now 18-16 Yale 3 minWho do we want to face, Penn or Yale?
Both FOGO’s are incredible.
Believe me we don’t want to play Penn in Philly.
IMO, Yale’s the better match up even with TD Irelan.
Flag!!!!Our starting goal keep is from highland Park Texas and his family is good friend with family I know well. This is same high school of Matt Stafford, Clayton Kershaw and Angie Harmon

I disagree. Arceri has had issues against TD, Gallagher is more of a toss up
Ned, while U Penn is located in Philadelphia, their alums are pretty well dispersed across the country. I'm sure they would have had a decent sized rooting section at the Linc had they won today's game. However, I would predict that PSU's rooting section would have been larger than Penn's. So if your comment was based on the location of the campuses, I don't think it would have been a big factor.
I'm more aligned with @ColinPSU in terms of I would rather have faced Penn than Yale. PSU is a very strong team this year, but if I were to pick an area of vulnerability for PSU, it would be draws, and Yale's TD is exceptional at draws.
Both Penn and Yale pose a challenge for PSU. If I recall correctly, during the regular season PSU lost to Yale by 1 goal, and defeated Penn by 1 goal. I would have been more comfortable with Penn as the opponent based on their capabilities at draws than I am with Yale as the opponent.
In regards to an earlier comment of yours ("This has been an incredible playoff tournament...so far.."), I have to agree. 3 of the men's quarterfinal matches went to OT, and in the other, PSU was ahead comfortably at the half, then saw Loyola nearly tie them in the 3rd quarter, and then shutout Loyola in the 4th quarter.
Oh please. Dumping on philly is hardly test board material.Stick to the test board.
You really think a team playing in the semi finals needs an incentive?I am happy with the rematch with Yale to try to avenge our only loss...figure it might give the team a little extra incentive
Do I think the team needs incentive at this stage? No but do I think playing Yale gives the team just a bit more of that attitude to want some payback? Hell yes. If you've ever played sports at any level...as a player, if you can get a shot at revenge for an earlier loss to a team ...then yea...it pumps you up just a bit more and it doesn't matter if it's in the regular season or the championship game. You don't think any of the team members are thinking about their one loss this year and how sweet it would be to pay them back...especially by eliminating them from the tourny? You really think a team playing in the semi finals needs an incentive?
We now have a little time to consider and tape of what other teams did well against Yale, so I think our defensive play will be better. Very worried about face offs and time of possession. I think Yale tries to win FO and hold the ball as long as they can, and obviously our O can't score without the ball. You are correct with the outcomes earlier this year. To be fair, Yale actually had a larger lead in the 4th and we squeezed in a couple late goals.
What concerns me about Yale is at least with Penn our defense switched to an adjacent slide look that caused some turnovers. So we at least were able to make adjustments against Penn but we had no such luck against Yale.
If TD gets hot I think we run a pole against him just to slow him down a tad and not allow a fast break goals (which happened several times the first go around.)

If they are winning face offs and getting some points, they would be foolish to put the ball in our hands. If we score 15+ points on them, and they were winning face offs, then their game plan sucked.Yale was the #2 scoring offense in the country, behind you know who. I don't think they will come up with a game plan that calls for them to hold the ball - they'll go with what got them to the dance. .

Clarification please D3? D1? does a D3 player hold the record? TIADoes Grant Ament break the all time assist record this weekend? Believe it's 91 assists in a season for a D3 player. He has a legit shot to break it.

You missed the point.Well we didn't score 15 points on them, we only scored 13 - and we lost, so I'd be hard-pressed to describe their game plan as sucking.

Yes - but most people consider the D1 record, which Ament has shattered, as being more noteworthy. The DI record was 77, by UMBC's Steve Marohl, and had stood for 25 years. There are 10 DII and DIII guys ahead of Marohl, but you rarely hear anything about them.
The overall collegiate record is 93 set last year by Matt Richard of New England College. Ament has 91, so, barring injury, he's probably a lock to break it. If PSU beats Yale, Ament has an excellent chance of getting to 100 assists. That would be mindboggling since it would top the old record by a whooping 25%+.

I went back and read it, and it's clear. Your comment reinforces that they will try to control possession to keep the ball out of our offense's hands (which is the point).Care to explain, because you certainly didn't make it very clear.
