Michael McCann is a pioneer in sports law. I've quoted him for years. He's following the appeal of a lower court's ruling against the NCAA relative to are players, employees.

Better than where this is headed. RIP college sports.
NCAA is going to try and string this out. College players will be professional employees within 5 years. With that will come all kinds of laws that were not applicable when they were considered amateur students. And that starts to kill off the notion of "The Kids playing for love of the game and their school" to more of an Eagles/Browns/Steelers culture. And honestly, I won't go to an NFL game if you give me the tickets.

Then you have a "be careful what you asked for" situation. We cut off a path to education for kids that can't afford it but will never play pro ball. The rules of Title 9 that enforce gals get the same number of 'ships that boys do. Do we really need a stadium that holds 107,000? What of the cost of renovation? etc.
