A Different View of Beau’s Decision

LOL... Deven Smith and OSU have nothing to do with Beau P and PSU. So drop that nonsense now.

Grunk is 3rd string. Beau 2nd. Beau very likely would have been PSU's starter next year.

Reminder, you are the biggest idiot here. The rest of us are sane, logical, reasonable and normal. If others don't bother you, it confirms that you indeed a self absorbed, know it all, idiot.

Continue on. It's amusing.

No doubt. Comparing Smith and the SMU backup.....blah, blah, blah.... - their situations are very different than Beau's. They are actually transferring schools prior to graduating from their undergraduate institutions. Schools they are interested in saying they will save a spot for them.... or let them late-transfer in January... etc... has zero to do with Beau who is applying to schools as a post-graduate of PSU.

I believe JF said he would consider an exception for Beau during the presser...if I heard that wrong, my bad.
You aren't wrong. Franklin clearly said they got together and tried to work something out that would allow him to stay on the team while in the portal but they couldn't find something that would work for both parties.

Lol...Beau had no obligation to stay. Had you read anything said by me or others criticizing this you'd have comprehended that. The issue is he falsely blamed the NCAA instead of owning his decision and the options he had. Destroy this young man lol...pure insanity.
Your an idiot!! You have made it a mission to destroy this young man and for that you are a disgusting revolting POS!!!!!!!!!!

What are you talking about?
Destroy him? He's being insincere and deserves called out for it. He's a paid athlete not a student. See the car he was given to play here.
He handled this poorly.
Are you his dad? If so, talk to him about leadership so he doesn't flop wherever he lands

A Repetitive comment moron. Said the same thing with a twist when you detested another's poster's praise of Indian's QB Kurtis Rourke! Called that poster's Rourke's "MOMMY." You are not the analyst you claim to be. In fact far from it with your obvious vendetta against Pribula and others who you disagree with. Leave the kid alone.

When did I say anything about Rourke? I'll search to see if I've ever even used the word "mommy" here. Pretty sure I haven't
Vendetta? Beau acting like an immature brat blaming the NCAA for his decision. Had he said, "this is what's best for me" I would have praised him. Had he waited until 12/22 to enter I would have praised him. He found out Drew was staying, reacted emotionally and left on his own terms--has nothing to do with the NCAA. He didn't have to decide by 12/28--he has until 5 days after our season ends if we beat SMU
I will say whatever I want--it's not my fault you're reacting emotionally instead of logically.
Here's the link--you're wrong again
It was PurposePitch--do your research dumbass

What the F....are you spewing you hater? Beau has my respect and most of Penn State Football fans and the within posters. Beau is a fine individual a great teammate and is not a slave nor an indentured servant. Your mission on this Board has been to destroy this fine young man in every way possible and that is reprehensible.
He hates Beau. Here is the irony. He is way over the top in support of paying players and them all getting theirs and then more yet he dumps all over Pribula. Joke.

How is this dumping all over him?
I'm thrilled he's leaving because that prevents the coaches from ruining momentum by playing him. I don't blame him for that. I hope he has as much success if not more than Levis. He's just being a coward by blaming the NCAA instead of saying he's doing this for him.
As you know, I want all players at all schools to do what's best for them. Which is why I'm critical of Drew staying. That's best for us not him. But his choice.
Beau made a choice. Respect the choice. Don't respect him blaming others for his decision

So “education” is the issue????
The problem is that athletes can only participate in team activities if they enrolled at the school. When an athlete has to make their move varies significantly based on school calendars . No, it's not about education, even when kids leave high school in December and enroll for the spring semester. They do it so they can start participating in team activities and getting the benefits and preparation the program has to offer. It's a bigger deal for transfers because the sooner they can start with the new team the better chance they have of accomplishing the sports goals that drove their decision. It is what it is until the rules change and athletes are no longer required to be enrolled students.

So did Franklin! But fine with him. Pathetic.
So you're ignoring that you were wrong after you accused me of saying something I didn't?
Franklin is using this to push his agenda. Coaches hate this window. Franklin couldn't care less about Beau but wants change. I also said Franklin was insincere.

Of course he did. Don't be an idiot. He could have stayed and rode the pine another year.

I swear, you are genuinely the stupidest f-stick around here.
And that's all that matters--he had options
He made a choice--that's his decision--no one forced him to do anything
Glad to see you understand that and are just playing stupid

Yes, all that matters is reality--join me in it please
I don't understand why you need to make an excuse for him doing what was best for him. He had every right to leave.

LOL.. No, I am not joined the warped, convoluted and self absorbed.

I like the way you are changing your tune now. He did what he thought was best for him after discussion with family, friends and staff. There is no excuse or need for one.

How is this self-absorbed and how have I changed my tone?
He create an excuse--he blamed the NCAA
I didn't blame Silas Redd when he left--I'm sure as hell not going to blame Beau but he said with his announcement that he had no choice but to leave now because of the NCAA rules. That's incorrect as you agreed with above.

Why not? Doesn't mean it's correct, but he can wish for a perfect paradise of football utopia where he finishes things 100% on his terms and gets everything he wants (presumably a starting QB job, more NIL, etc).
If he had a free agent contract, all these nuances would be dealt with there.

LOL... you, and the author of the article, ASSIGNED it as an excuse. It was a consideration. A real consideration as evidenced by the thread about the NCAA's calendar conflict.

F'ing drama queens.................... Fretting about 20 year old kids making decisions as if your life and welfare depended on it. lmfao...

He considered thousands of things--why mention this if it's not an excuse? We all know it was.
He made his decision--I hope he does well at Iowa, Indiana, UCF, Mizzou, etc. I have no ill-will toward him
And I'm thrilled he's not here for the playoff because he's not going to take snaps away from the elite QB
He's simply a coward for not just saying this was his choice--he's hiding behind blaming the NCAA. He simply lacked the courage to stand up and say this was what he felt was best without blaming anyone else
His statement was also untrue as the 12/28 is only his deadline if we lose to SMU

Call me petty but I'm not going to wish him well at schools we're competing with on the field next year. I hope he lights it up at UCF or Mizzou though.

I'm happy if he does well there when they aren't playing us but I get your stance. I want a strong Big Ten.

Quite the indictment, that Franklin is a fraud who has no concern for his players and his expressed appreciation for Beau as a QB and as a person is just one big facade and lie! Got it! But don't believe it for one minute.

Beau is no longer "his player"--of course he expressed appreciate for him--he has to be able to recruit
Coaching is one big facade--you have to play the game. Do you want him coming out saying that Beau was being selfish--how would that benefit him in any way
You still haven't acknowledge you accused me of something that never happened--predictable

You THINK it was.

Calling a 20 year old a coward for making a tough decision. Pure class. Real character. Then you double down saying he lacked courage. You really ought to be banned for that kind of behavior. It's despicable. You really are a disgrace.

Especially given that he is GRADUATING from PSU before he is moving on! There are tons of players who graduate from without using 100% of their eligibility at PSU. According to this douche-nozzle troll, they deserve to be criticized for moving on to the next phase of their life - according to a$$hole they have some obligation to put their life on hold and completely sacrifice their future to an institution they already graduated from and have no further obligations to????

My thoughts as well as no rational decent human being would ever call a young man with the character and decency of Pribula a COWARD and then to state..."i have no ill will toward him" is just more evidence of this idiot's imbued dishonesty. I feel for Beau if he reads or learns of such statements by a supposed adult. The kid like hundreds of others simply wants to be a starting college QB at a major university and for this he is labeled a COWARD by this buffoon!

So, if they just change that they need to be enrolled, he could finish the playoffs? Seems like a simple solution. It has nothing to do with academics anymore

He's a coward for blaming the NCAA
It's comical you think that should lead to someone being banned

What do you know about his character and deceny?
Beau was a paid athlete--he's not just a kid
Best of luck elsewhere--we're better off long term without him because Grunk has way more potential

He may very well have some sort of mental illness or personality disorder.

Adam Friedman, a respected writer covering college football, writes a very comprehensive piece explaining the complicated decision it was for Pribula, and some blowhard on an anonymous FREE internet message board tells him he's full of shit because he knows better.

Does it get any more f'd up than that?
