A question for any and all Pennsylvania State University alumni.............

The dear wife and I did not attend. We both love the place. She signs, I don't. I look at her crossed eyed when she does. Just seems foreign to me since our degrees are elseware. But, she is the one that got me season tix when we were dating back in 2001, so I can't bitch. She can sign forever.

I always had heard the "We don't know the GD words" was from when they changed the words to make them less gender specific in the 70s. They changed the words, thus the students literally did not know the words.

And the previously mentioned "did not have a huge ass scoreboard to put the words up so each word is the size of a small SUV" added to, well not knowing the words.
Doesn't matter. Score board or no scoreboard, the lyrics displayed are a half sentence behind the band and students.

My wife is an alum"82". I am not. When it's time to sing the school song I put my arm around her shoulder while she sings. This Saturday a young man sat beside her " a 16 alum" and he asked her if he could put his arm around her shoulder while they proudly sang their school song.
This the guy?

Well, first, I'm not sure what to think about the fact that I know the words to "your" song but not mine o_O.

However, part of me feels like I've adopted dear old state. I've been going to games there since the 70's, spent un-Godly amounts of money, celebrated and suffered with this team, survived step, etc, etc...

So..... I sing.

btw... we have a saying in our house..YOU know your singing, I know your singing, but the neighbors will think we're BEATING you!
