For the first time in the Franklin era, there is actual proof the staff and team learned something about time management. With a lead late in the game, the offense actually let the play clock run down to under 10 seconds before snapping the ball. It shortened the game and gave them a chance to run out the clock. To the best of my recollection, this has never happened at Penn State under Franklin.
It was great to see it and bodes well for the future.
Now, if Rahne can resist the urge to call unnecessary trick plays when the offense starts working, see double pass attempt, we might actually have something here.
