Update. A&M has a sprinter on kickoff return. Achame takes the ensuing kick all the way back. Alabama looked slow on that play. Imagine how hard that is.

Why didn't they call face mask on Hellams? He ripped his helmet off and not one of these announcers says a freaking word.
Was that a backup QB that just beat Bama? Amazing, thought something like that would be impossible reading this board of savants.

You do realize he lost two other games before this, right?
That backup QB only put up 10 points against Colorado and Arkansas earlier this year.
So bama loses on the road to an unranked team by 3 points. We lose on the road by 3 to a top 3 team, who falls farther in the polls?

Agree with you except the fans. They are not the same as back in the Bear Bryant Era. I live in the deep south and Bama fans can be some of the most obnoxious. Trust me on this.
If the ranking as based on current wins/losses than i fail to see how not having Clifford in 3 weeks impacts mondays rankings. Based strictly on quality of loss, ours was much better than Bama THIS week
He got his feet wet in a 10-7 Colorado win coming in for relief and then started in 2 consecutive losses.
This wasn't his first action. You don't see the correlation. Or, it doesn't fit your narrative.

I think Bama surely stays in front of us, I'd guess #6 behind tOSU. I think we could be as high as #7 but will probably end up 9-10. It will be interesting. Michigan would get a big jump if they were more impressive in their win, but it is hard to see them not passing us (and Oregon). Nobody seems to believe in MSU or Oklahoma St so not sure how much they move up. Notre Dame ain't improving much with yet another late victory.
Would you rank Penn State ahead of Alabama? If you were betting your own money would you take Penn State to beat Alabama? Iowa's offense is inept and Penn State still lost today after a having a nice lead. If I was an AP voter I drop Iowa in the polls too.
Transitive Property does not work in college football. We beat Colorado by 30. Without multiple miracles we could not stay within 30 points of Alabama.
As I mentioned in another thread...the key to this, obviously, is getting Clifford back. We could face 3 top 10 teams in our final 6 games. Running the table would put us right back in the top 5 controlling our own destiny.
This sucks.. This could have been our year to get to the title game.. Outside of Georgia and everyone looks beatable. We could have beaten Bama this year if healthy.
