Saturday games of interest

Also, look at how handsy UGA is in the secondary. This is why I like how Smith has our corners playing now. You get called sometimes, but far less than what you are doing.

These cross country trips are brutal. Penn State beat USC. Barely. Pitt beat Cal. Barely.

Anyone else?

I know there’s a lot of $$$ in it, but can we please consider what’s best for the student-athletes now?
Penn State women's soccer was at UCLA this week, weekday game. So ridiculous these minor sports have to travel across the country to play.

Again, the more you watch other "elite" QB that are supposed to be first round picks this year the more Allar looks like the best of them

Allar is as prototypical of a NFL QB as it gets. Like Hack, he's getting drafted off of 6'5 and 235 and the throws he can make in shorts. If his improved season continues, he's going to be a top 5 pick whenever he turns pro.

Rankings, mocks, they mean nothing. It's just fan analysis, although many make their living doing it.

If UGA holds the 15pt 2H lead, looks like Oregon will be #1
Does PSU go to #2 or do they jump UGA to the #2 spot due to beating #1?
Or do they make PSU #2 with the belief that OSU will prevent them from having to justify the decision to jump a 1 loss team and not have two B2G teams not from Michigan or Ohio in the top 2 spots?

100%
Based on his measurable and his performance through 7 games, the draft is Allar's to lose, effectively.

UGa winning at #1 Texas jumps them to 2
Our best win is still Illnois--and, yeah, I know UGa has a loss and hasn't exactly been dominant but they're Georgia. They get the benefit of the doubt.
I'm still thrilled if we're third. We have to win the Big Ten to get a bye and if we lose to Ohio State we're probably the 6 seed if we win out other than that.
Also, Georgia's win over Clemson looks better and better weekly

Doesn't really matter how the next weekly rankings come out.

These things will get sorted out on the field and PSU can control their own destiny.

It does matter though. If PSU and GA win out, it affects seeding. Also, this is mostly thought exercise about the mental gymnastics of voters and their motivations

Could also say their Bama loss looks worse each week

It won't--if we win out and beat Oregon and Ohio State we'll be #1
And, truthfully, who cares if you're #1 or #2--you get a bye. Georgia's going to be in the Peach Bowl regardless and we'd be in Rose as they're going to keep as much tradition as possible

The reality is the booth should always help with calls like that--you can't possibly get it right live every time--the game is way too fast
Not saying it came from the booth but it likely did

The most important thing should be getting calls right. The language of things shouldn't be as important as make it right and settle it on the field. We don't need 25 stoppages, but get the important stuff correct.

USCs lost to unranked Michigan.
PSUs performance in LA looks terrible
Does it? All elite teams play down to teams
Oregon--Boise State and Wyoming
Penn State--BGSU and USC
Georgia--Kentucky and Miss State
Miami--everyone they play (not elite but for sake of argument)

Fair...but hard to call it a "nice win".
PSU escaped with an OT win against a sub .500 team

Lemmonier said the booth can't change that call, it can only be done on the field.

The fact is USC played their second best game after LSU against us. They have high level talent but obviously are underachieving and don't know how to close games and win. This over reaction that our win now versus them looks terrible or means we aren't as good now is such a ridiculous knee jerk reaction. What...now we are going to lose to Wisky and Minny because USC sucks and we barely beat them? Get off the ledge.

Nice win simply because of the talent level of USC. Kind of like Illinois will tell you beating Michigan today was a nice win.
We did escape but we learned a lot about this team

No--but we can't be saying "we beat USC" when discussing rankings.
Georgia will have wins over Clemson and (assuming at the time) Texas with a loss to Bama
Is that better than Penn State with wins against Illinois and USC? BGSU is now just 2-4. WVU's going to lose again today so they'll also be 3-4.
I think we destroy Wisconsin (that may mean 24-10 but never in doubt) and Minnesota but we can be honest
No ledges involved

Who cares. Take care of business and we are in at 11-1 and should be #6.

Most people care simply because it gives you insight on how you're viewed
Why wouldn't people discuss resumes?
And, if we take care of business we're 13-0 and the #1 or #2 seed--not sure why we considering losing to Ohio State as "getting the job done"
