Another flat tire in Stilly

A person gets a NIL deal who is not in college athletics?
Compliant to NCAA rules regarding NIL, I'd assume, if he wants to maintain his college athletic eligibility. Regardless, he seems to being paid for his name, image, and likeness (NIL), which is a general term that is not limited to use by the NCAA.

Just plain odd.

A fool and his money are often separated. It makes you wonder if Foundation vitamins is a family or friend owned business, otherwise what are they thinking?

His schtick seemed subdued for sure. One would think he would just lay low until after the legal troubles have passed, which I think they will.

As others suggested, NIL is just shorthand for the particular group of rights licensed in any sponsorship deal, such as the one Ferrari evidently signed. Until recently, college athletes were prohibited from entering into such agreements by the NCAA. NIL deals are still somewhat regulated, though, less by the NCAA than by the individual schools. Ferrari presently has no school he needs approval from, so he can sign whatever he likes.

Don’t recommend walking around in your underwear while in prison!
Real talk... he had a crazy weak weight that year with Covid restrictions and he should have never won an NCAA tournament. The kid he beat in the finals is the 3rd best kid in the state right now at the weight.

This kid huffed too much paint as an adolescent. What a weirdo.

Wow. Is anyone advising him to do some basic Audience/Viewer analysis before posting? This is frightening that he thinks this shows him in a "good" light. I can't imagine why colleges are not lining up to sign this dude. Beating the hell out of a non-threatening object? This will probably never show up in a court case? Then again.......maybe they are preparing for an insanity defense. :) Actually pretty sad :(

his toughest matches were on his side: Amine and Warner. Ask Brooks how good Amine is. Don't have to lie and say he's not good to say that he's a loser in life.

He beat Nino in the finals and this season Nino beat Beard who beat Dean. I know what you're saying but the results dictate otherwise as of right now

Exactly my point there was no Dean or Beard in that bracket among others. He beat Amine who was at 197 not 184 and had 6 matches that year going into the NCAA tournament. Amine is very good, but that's not at his ideal situation.

The lack of self-awareness displayed is just mind-boggling. Not a stretch to say that someone (anyone?), like perhaps his parents, would tell him to disappear from social media with a sexual assault charge still pending against him, but not AJ. Like a fly to $hit he's drawn to media. Clearly he has wrestling talent but sadly not much between the ears.

For starters, someone who loves him should tell him to put some pants on

His larger than life attitude got him in this situation and obviously he didn’t learn from it.

Freshmen NCAA Champion and can’t find a program to take him. Wonder what papa Ferrari has to say about that

Beard was in the bracket. And 197 is the ideal weight if you want to be a full sized 86kg guy, for, you know, the Olympics.

It was a very good bracket and he won it.

Quibble: 197 is the ideal weight if you want to be a full 86kg for the olympics. 86kg for the olympics is not the ideal weight if you want to be a full sized 197

Beard took 7th. Ferrari beat 3 NCAA finalists in that tourney: Bonaccorsi, Amine, and Warner.

Amine having 6 matches is such a red herring. Going into nationals: Spencer, Griffith, Kemerer, and Hidlay had 7 each. O'Connor had 8. RBY, Fix, and Nick Lee had 9. Nobody would argue that those low numbers had anything to do with their qualifications or performances.

Snyder had 6 matches going into his soph NCAA tournament.

Yep. I saw AJ tweet a picture of his dad a while back and thought that he is very clearly a PED user.

Exactly what "street" has this kid ever had to endure? Sesame street? As far as I know, he's only ever lived in suburbia. Is he auditioning for the main character in the remake of Malibu's Most Wanted?

It's like a clip from a bad 80's movie.
He would be fighting Steven Seagal over a girl and a piece of indian burial ground in Oklahoma.
Nearly all of those movie titles were 3 words following the implied phrase "Steven Seagal is." Hard To Kill. Above The Law. Out For Justice. Marked For Death. Etc.

Fill in the movie title blanks: AJ Ferrari is "_____ _____ _____."

(Dumb And Dumber is already taken.)
