Last week we had security gates we went thru. Not this week. Atleast not at our gate. It was a zoo. Some pushing and shoving. That can get dangerous with so many people.
Gate D had one metal detector. I think it was gate C where I saw half of the gate closed and 4 or 5 unused metal detectorsLast week we had security gates we went thru. Not this week. Atleast not at our gate. It was a zoo. Some pushing and shoving. That can get dangerous with so many people.
More tickets scanners would have been the solution. There were seven metal detectors at Gate C which weren't the real problem. The traffic jam was at the ticket scanners so they stopped people coming through the metal detectors until the crowd thinned at the ticket scanners. All it did was push to mob of people back further. People were getting frustrated because they didn't know what the problem was while they were standing for several minutes without moving.Gate C was a complete cluster. Very fortunate there wasn’t a catastrophe.
They need to hire two or three more assistant athletic directors in order to discuss the possible problem and then, if it is, they need to appoint and convene a committee to hold a monthly meeting for the next three months at a minimum to discuss if hiring a consulting firm is necessary to address the problem or if they think it will just work itself out.More tickets scanners would have been the solution. I took the advice of the AD and tried to enter about an hour before kickoff. Soon they'll be telling us to enter 1½ prior to big games. That's putting the onus on the fans to solve the problem instead of working to figure it out within the AD. While standing in the mob I was thinking I should contact the AD to vent my frustration. Then I realized many people have done so in the past but nothing has changed. Efficient stadium entry just isn't a priority and I doubt the AD would care about a phone call/email. They really don't give a damn.
You were there about when we were. I’m going to send something to the AD. My wife was in tears as the crowd was pressing in on us. More readers and I believe moving the metal detectors further back would help. No matter something needs to be done or someone will get hurt.More tickets scanners would have been the solution.
