My ideal scenario is OSU figuring out a way to beat Hardpaw, only to figure out a way to lose to NW in the Big 10 championship. Would love to see Hairball and Meyer decide that they've had enough of Big 10 football ASAP. I'm rooting for OSU with that scenario in mind.

That being said, MI has been impressive all year. Even though the game is in Columbus, I think the domination comes to an end. It will be fun no matter what, because someone I can't stand gets to lose!

This is a no brainer for me. I want Ohio St. to win.

I'm not hoping for an asteroid strike but who says we have to cheer for either? I personally don't care either way. All I know is I'll be a Northwestern fan on Dec. 1.

Very curious with what appears to be a real health concern again.,, if UM coaches again next year while losing to Michigan ?

I want OSU... but Michigan adding that QB has been a game changer for them.., finally have balance.,

Since I hate O$U more than scUM, and the fact that that college football talking heads are still schilling for them to make the playoffs, I want O$U to lose and lose very badly. Like 51-7 badly so that everyone can say how over rated O$U is. It's like asking who do you want to win between the Patriots and the Cowgirls!!! I figgin' hate them both!!!!

simple for me, my gf is a huge UM fan - she will be unbearable if UM loses, and I will be very satisfied if UM wins

Normally I prefer Michigan over Ohio State, but this year I think that Michigan is a fluke, much like the Eagles last year. Plus I want the Big 10 to get shafted in terms of the playoffs, so that maybe they will push for expansion, and Ohio State's path is more difficult.

Yeah, Eagles had a flukey season.

How 'bout those flukey, overpaid Yankees?!?!? lol

My girlfriend used to be a Michigan fan, now she is my wife of 22 years and almost a true blue PSU fan as me...raised our daughters the same way...get to work CM!

Michigan to win. It can put them in the playoff and open up a spot for us to a NY6 game.

I’m in the camp rooting for OSU, and then Northwestern. The 2016 season changed the way I will root for the B1G forever.

Michigan wins in 15 overtime’s. They combine for 22 turnovers and 19 missed field goals. There are 37 penalties. Michigan wins 2-0 when Ohio State somehow gives up a safety in the 15th overtime. Urban Meyer pisses his pants during the 10th overtime and it is shown on national TV. Hairball rips his shirt off after the win and runs wildly around the stadium screaming he did it for Bo.

It hurts like the devil to say, but one of them needs to make the playoffs or PSU slides farther down the bowl game ladder. Sime of the teams ahead of us will still lose, but NY6 chances took a hit after performance against Rutgers dropped us down the list of 3-loss teams.

After the performance against Rutgers, why would you want a NY6 bowl?

IMO Michigan is going to slaughter Ohio State and Urby’s health problems will come roaring back. I didn’t think OSU was very good from the beginning this year and unfortunately after our team left them off the hook we haven’t looked very good either. A little better defense, a little more pass catching, a little better playcalling and our team could have been 10-1 with a reasonable loss to UM at this point which would make OSU the obvious rooting interest. I know - ifs and buts and candy and nuts. :)

I only had the misfortune of listening to our game versus Michigan and not the pain of watching - that being said I think OSU won’t shoot itself in the foot like our team has all year and at least puts up 20 points but it won’t be nearly enough.

The most disappointing part of the whole thing is we won’t be able to make fun of Harbaugh anymore. Watching him have a near coronary on the sidelines and acting like a goof while finishing fourth in his division was fun for a few years.

If something catastrophic were to happen, PSU moves up two spots. By my math that's a gooder outcome. Since rooting for something doesn't actually affect the outcome, I'm going with that one.

Games like this make me hate OT in college. In the old days you could at least root for a tie. I will reluctantly root for Ohio State keeping the B1G out of the playoff. Which might he force an expansion of the playoff and after 2016, screw the B1G.

I feel neutral about Ohio State and I think of their fans as a bunch of fat guys with red shirts with beer stains. Michigan fans tend to be the white wine and aged cheese crowd. I always root for OSU in this matchup regardless of the game's meaning since it simply doesn't matter who I root for as far as determining outcome.

I don’t want Michigan to win, but major bonus points for creativity.

I am 90% sure Urban is done at tOSU. In fact, Cowherd said he had two good sources that said Urbs is done (if you can believe Cowherd). I really can't stand Harbaugh.

Given that, I believe the best thing for PSU is tOSU winning and going to the B1G. It is of higher "disruption value".

If we are being completely honest, our team wasn’t very good before Ohio State. That’s just what this team is. It happens some years.

I hear you. I wouldn't say they "aren't very good". I'd say that we are what our record says we are. Honestly, if we'd have beaten MSU (a dropped INT away) we'd have a different tune. We'd be happy with a two loss team staring down the barrel at a NYD6 game. As it stands, we will come in third behind UM and tOSU in the B1G east and are, probably, the third best team in the B1G overall. This, with 70%+ of our WR/TE snaps with Fr or RS Fr and our QB operation at something around 80% capacity.

UM is just a better team, this year. It'll be a different story next year.

Michigan returns 10 players on offense that started against Indiana...

maybe. UM's offense hasn't been good. And I am not sure you QB sticks around for another year. UM was gifted a QB but he is a mercenary. Penn state is starting three Fr at WR/TE. I like our chances next year.

rooting for Osu over um because it maintains the status quo. Really don’t care though and won’t watch. Hope either one throttles northwestern because id like to see the west’s losing streak continue and I’d like psu to have a shot at the ny6 even though there is a chance it gets ugly.

Yeah, that’s fair. This team is flawed and some of the flaws have been exploited.

How about a black hole opens, and in the new plane of existence they find themselves in, Penn State has beaten both of them and is going for the NC.

That option aside, I like OSU winning and then losing to NW in the B10 championship.

Rooting hard for OSU. I like the fact that Michigan hasn't won a conference championship since 2004 and Harbaugh hasn't beaten Ohio State. I hope that continues. I feel Michigan's schedule, other than opening at ND, kind of set up for them like it did in 2016 and combined with having a good team, it's worked out nicely for them.

I don't know if I ever watched a Mich-tOSU game in my life. I doubt I will start now given it is a 9am start (PST). Growing up it seemed like a game to see who would get smacked by a Pac 10 team.

I root for OSU to lose every single game they play regardless of the circumstances...as long as it does not directly affect PSU.

This weekend will not be any different.
