"They don't know you're alive."Fans only recourse is to stop spending money on the program unless changes happen. But when you're celebrating a win against Purdue they know mediocrity is fine.

My biggest beef with Franklin is all the close games against good teams that were lost in the fourth quarter. Offensive line development and OLine depth is an achilles heel for Franklin. Thanks, I appreciate the civil discourse and respect your opinion.
I would postulate that "close PSU has been to a division crown" (which is what you wrote above) is different than "competing for conference titles" but you can interpret the semantics however you like.
And I agree that last year's PSU team had its issues, but that doesn't preclude a team from winning the division.
Under Franklin, they have also won big close games late.My biggest beef with Franklin is all the close games against good teams that were lost in the fourth quarter. Offensive line development and OLine depth is an achilles heel for Franklin.
He is an above average recruiter who could be an elite recruiter if he started to win the big games.
I love the fact that his players go to class and often graduate early.
He does a good job with off the field discipline, and it is kept in-house as it should be.
He also does a good job finding quality assistants for the most part.
I believe it is possible to support a coach, and still be critical. With all that said, I believe this year is very important for Franklin going forward, and this game Saturday is a big game in that respect. I realize he has a ten year contract, but there is also a new AD in town that did not hire Franklin.
"Unrealistic" is who "We Are," on this site.Under Franklin, they have also won big close games late.
For example:
2016 OSU
2017 Iowa
2018 Iowa
2019 Michigan
2019 Iowa
2021 Auburn
2022 Purdue
to name a few.
To think PSU should win every close game is unrealistic. I would obviously like to see them win EVERY game, but that's not the way football works.
