Our recent wrestling dominance is great and all, but, it's a niche sport (I know, I know ... duck and cover after making comments like that around here). Still, it'd be nice to be competitive in a widely watched and played sport.
I don't give a damn about Penn State basketball. Not many do. The team is awful. Boasting about beating the worst team in the conference is pathetic.
By the way. Iowa has been in the conference for 119 years and Penn State for 28, yet Penn State has won 31 National Championships across all sports as a conference member and Iowa has won only 27 (in 119 years!).
Since Penn State joined the conference they have won 107 conference championships. Iowa has won 34.
I might add US News ranks Iowa 89th among National Universities. Penn State is 59th.

When I used to go to watch lacrosse games in the late 90s, it was basically me and the players' girlfriends.
