2 seed at 138 vs. Hillegas. If seeds hold, Beau will have a good semis opponent, PA state finalist Kenny Kiser from Saegertown.

(Not behind paywall but do need free login to read.)

Other seeds of note:
Nic Bouzakis - 1 at 126
Erik Gibson - 3 at 145
Trey Kibe - 3 at 170 (too low)
Nick Feldman - 2 at 195
Kolby Franklin - 2 at 220 (vs. Braxton Amos)

Keen seeded #1 at 113. Hope the coaches keep this kid on the radar maybe he can be a career 125lber
Steen is good but probably low PSU interest as long as Poulin is interested in the same class, even moreso if Figueroa is interested. That plus Steen's dad is an avowed Iowa fan.

If Poulin falls through, there are quite a few 2022 options who IMO project at least as good as Steen -- granted, weight uncertainty so early -- Nico Rivera, Daniel Cardenas, Joey Cruz, Levi Haines, Troy Spratley, Nick Fea. (Plus Jordan Williams, though I'd be shocked if he leaves Oklahoma.) Cruz has publicly said he's interested in PSU, and Haines trains at M2.

No Pitzer?

edit: texted my buddy who teaches at Mt. Pleasant but wouldn’t know a double leg from a double Dutch rudder and he says “he messed up his knee.” No word on severity.

If saving the world quits working out for you.

In a year or so there will be an up and coming wrestling centric web service that may be in need for a guy with your talents

Where is Cruz ag Beth cath

Watch out for Knisley at 220. Gibson vs McNeil at 45 would be fun. Redinger is up at 52! Dude must have polish relatives, hammer of a weight class to boot. Keep tabs on Gregor McNeil (lil bro to lachlin?) at 120 full court press could reel in 2 ringers. Hillegas-Henson, Munch-Noonan semis will be worth the price of admission.

Reynolds (Steen) High School wrestling does not transfer very well to Division I wrestling. Too much defensive wrestling. Lot's of stalling.

For real... always learn a ton from @El-Jefe & it would help to have multiple media members with access to the slush fund.

I would love for once to have no worries about 125
I realize we haven't had an AA at 125 since Nico's NCAA title in 2016. Still, over the past 8 years we've had Conway's AA plus Nico's 2,2,3,1. We also had a sure high AA (maybe NC) in Suriano until he got hurt. So over the past 8 years we've had 5 AA's, a certain 6th AA until injury. So, I wouldn't sell our 125 history short even over the past 8 years. AND, looking further back we've had Fritz, DeStefanis, Martin, Chertow, Prescott, Abe, Hunter et al.

I guess your right when you put it like that. We're blessed. Sometimes I guess my expectations are too high

Lol. I get a kick out of those people who think our coaches can't coach. Simple stupidity I guess no other way to explain it. Hope they are here for a long time
Emotional bitterness than leaves an actual taste can effectively shut down synaptic impulses.

No doubt, and Its not just Cael, Casey was voted USA FS COTY last year I believe.Let the idiots think what they want.

I don't know how anyone could deny the improvement from Lee the last couple seasons, but I don't see him beating Pletcher. Anything can and does happen, but Pletcher has separated himself from others right now imo. I would enjoy being wrong here though.

There is no doubt Pletcher looks great. I'm not denying that. But I think we are giving a little too much credit for how good he has looked. I think Lee handles all the guys Pletcher has handled so far, just as he handled Eierman. Lee deserves just as much praise. I call a Pletcher-Lee match a toss-up right now. Or at least Pletcher -120 Lee +110.

Yes, Pletcher is looking very good. But last year, I think many/most of us weren't too sure about Lee beating McKenna and look what he did in the dual. And the other 2 matches were 1-point losses. I think we tend to sell Lee a little short at times. He has certainly upped his game a lot this year! BTW--I note that you credit Lee with real improvement!

The difference could be that Lee is use to forcing the action and at times has hurt him. Pletch is use to waiting for the action and content with a narrow win, although this year he has opened it up.

If Nick can take him down, I think he can hold him down, Pletches biggest improvement was on his feet, and he still isnt BETTER in neutral than Nicky.
Neutral 50/50
Nick top— Sure RT point
Pletch top- need help on this one.
