Bat signal is up

Did some short math and I am not a mathematician, but, using the score system, and projecting ahead with 3 commits left, even counting the five stars who are not committed yet, there are only 4 teams that will catch and/or pass us. Even allowing for an Alabama or a Clemson to do their last minute hauls, the very worst this class can end up ranked is #9 in the nation. It's safe to say now, that this is Franklins' first top ten recruiting class at Penn State and the first top ten class since I believe 2009? Just incredible considering all that we have come through.

It ain't over until Dec or Feb though. Still have to hold onto them all.

I mean, yes, but there are like at least a half dozen 4-star caliber kids that we are right there with that won't have a spot that we could circle back with if necessary. Plus there will be coaching changes, SR risers, poaching other classes later, etc, there will be movement probably even in our class. We are well positioned. Obviously you can't replace someone like a Shorter but we could fill this class up to 30 if necessary.

Of course you know that we can't right?

Dotson is a skinny slot receiver who has avoided the stop watch this year. Enis or bust at WR.

Hawkins in the next couple days. Then we wait to see what Walker, Oweh, Ty Smith, Enis, Griffith do in the next couple months.

Coach Franklin proves yet again that he can more than hold his own relative to LJsr in regards to cruit'en the DMV.

Re: LARRY JOHNSON

One of my very good friends and class-mates from Erie Pa. has a son who played for Larry. He was the top player in Pa, when he graduated from high school. He had nothing but high praises and accolades for Larry and the contribution he made to PSU in identifying hidden talent and recruiting top Def. Lineman. Larry's Lineman were then, often, moved over to the offensive line to support the shortcomings that existed on that side of the ball. And, of course, Larry was, perhaps, the best Def. line coach in the country, for my money.

On that basis, I thought he really deserved to be named Head Coach at PSU. But, this controversial PSU Administration/Board actually got this one right, 2 times in a row - O'Brien & Franklin .!!! They knew that a lot of money, and the image of the University, depended on this choice.

One of my teachers used to often say, "good luck favors the well prepared."

Franklin may not be the greatest position or game day coach in the business, but he really understands the Game of Football, and is an organizational genius. His selection of Moorehead as Offensive Coordinator was absolutely brilliant..!!! Every man on his staff is a great recruiter. Having Moorehead on the sidelines is a major advantage in every game on our schedule.!!!

Let the games begin.....

Hiring JoMo and Limegrover were both HUGE for PSU and this football team. Both are stellar coaches and recruiters. This team is set for success for numerous years with all this young talent coming up.

big, athletic 1 technique DTs, corners that can play man, and dynamic end rushers are what have made Alabama so tough on defense......James has been adding the corners and some dynamic rush guys.....this is the first real large dynamic 1 technique DT that we have pulled in......you can then pair PJ with a smaller, super quick DT knowing that PJ will hold the point of attack.

Huge get.......
Don't forget Hansard...IIRC, he was the 6-7th rated Rivals DT last year.

Pry hasn't sold me on the recruiting front but every other coach has. However, Pry has sold me on being a DC.

Outstanding. Welcome to the Mustipher's. Hawkins is next. Oweh, Walker, Dotson, and Parsons to follow. SAB prepping. May have one other flip so not complete but pretty much so. Focus on 2019 now.

Are you suggesting a flip into this class or out of this class? What are you thinking about with that comment?
