Bat signal is up

I went to high school with his father Artrell who was the best athlete in our class. Does anyone know his mothers name? I remember Artrell went out with Aletha Haselrig who was very attractive, intelligent and athletic, just curious if she might be his mother?

Per Google, his mother's maiden name is Carrie Nelson.

OK, Joe. Don't forget that pitt has 0.000000000000000000000000000001% chance of getting anyone of this caliber!
What does pitt have to do with my post? Just pointing out Parsons is more likely going to end up at O$U and Fields ship has passed.

I was out most of spring / summer on the boards. I missed the Fields decommit saga. Can I get a readers digest version?
Mmp, how are you??

He got a lot of new offers as he blew up and Cam Newton, among others were in his ear about staying in the south

Artrell Jr is Aeneas' dad. Sr. is the one you are referring to.

What position do you think he will play in the pros? He is basically 260 pounds how much bigger do you want him to get?

This is "my" opinion. You have the right to disagree, unless you are Kaepernick !!!
That being said, I think he is about 20 Lbs too light. He could be a 3rd and long guy. He is only 260 at PSU :) Hey, time will tell.

This is NOT that serious, I'm sure not. Others seem a bit intense ????

I spoke to a guy that went to Vandy in Hilton Head, seemed like an insider.Anyway he said when CJF starts winning you'll see elite recruiting.

I'm good BMW, thanks for asking!

I see, the ole stick in the south. And Cam Newton on top of it:rolleyes:.
I hate to see such a great prospect leave, especially when Franklin put him on the map by recruiting him. Good for him blowing up to be top player in this class. God what this class could have been with him!

Thanks for the rehash!

If this class gets it's 25, i do not believe the door will be open for Fields or Parsons.

Lol. It's scary how little some posters here know about football.
Not really. Tight ends have to block otherwise they're big wide receivers who don't run as fast. Blocking is a legitimate knock on Gesicki like it or not. Otherwise he's a first rounder but a tight end that can't block does not go in the first round. Unfortunately for him, JoMo will probably split him out which won't help his draft stock. His pro comparison is Evan Engram and the cons are the same.

It's the roster number of 85 scholarships that is the challenge, not the number of signees on LOI day.

agree, and remind me, when is the 85 limit set? In other words, when do they have to be at 85? My point being is that you always lose a handful of kids between LOI day and fall practice due to injury, off-field issues, playing time crunch, grades......

SEC teams, and tOSU, will often be in the low 90's. after LOI day. Magically, things change and they always seem to hit 85 when it counts. Its nasty business. I've always been under the impression that B1G schools are at 85 on LOI day and end up with 80, 81, 82. I think PSU, for example this year, is in the low 80's going into the season.

PSU is allowed to take more than 25 though, correct?

Yes, I believe PSU could take more than 25 because they only took 21 last year - I think PSU would need to bring them in as early-entrants though. However, by B1G Rule they can only exceed the 85 Limit in the Spring Semester by 3 Scholarships (88) - not sure how many Scholarships they will carry into the Spring 2018 Semester from the Fall 2017 Semester, no way to know at this point - in any event, they would have to report a plan to the B1G as to how they were going to get it back down to 85 within 6 weeks of signing day I think (i.e., the +3 rule is a B1G Rule).

The bigger problem if they did this would be managing the Scholarship Roster to 85 for the Fall 2018 Semester, which again really depends not only on how many they lose to graduation, but would also include any players that leave early for NFL or transfer out of the program. But to answer your actual question, yes they could sign up to 29 and back assign 4 of those to the 2017 Class via early enrollment I believe.

They can back assign all they want but they still have to be at 85 scholarships at some point before each season begins (not sure of the cutoff date). Bear Bryant could never live with this rule. He'd sign all the elite players he could get his paws on just so the other teams couldn't get them.

Actually, Bryant may have still been coaching when the 85 limit started though that would have been like piss in his Cheerios.

Yes, really. What you are saying has zero to do with physical maturity.
