Beau Pribula back to PSU??

Let’s say Drew Allar lights it up the next game, or god willing, two. What are the chances Beau comes back for two seasons?

It’s not unheard of. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/season-deion-sanders-buffaloes-kahlil-164812495.html
I obviously hope that Allar returns as we’ve been led to believe. However, if he doesn’t, the staff better have some ducks lined up from the portal because with Allar, PSU should be a preseason top 5 or 6 team, but if we had to play with QBs who have no game experience, we’d basically be throwing away another very good chance at the playoffs. I’m hopeful and expect that Grunkemeyer will develop into a very good college qb, but he probably needs to serve an apprenticeship like Allar did.

IDK how any of this works "legally" but Mizzou's spring semester doesn't start till Jan 21. Assume we'll know about Allar before then.

There’s been enough interviews with Allar and others to convince me that this is a very tight group of guys that want to keep playing together. At least on offense.

It would be nice for what happened to OSU this season with all of their returning players could happen with PSU for next season, because it could and should be another great one.

Guys transfer after spring practice too, so we have time to sort things out. Ideally Allar comes back and some stud WR comes to join him.

Team is loaded for next yr if the right guys decide to come back. Top 3 is my guess especially if they win it this year. Allar going after the heisman and #1 pick. 2025 could be epic. Recruits will be lining up and checkbooks will be opening up.

So 6 days before the semi final of the CFP and this guy is posting about a backup quarterback who left his team right before the playoffs started. Yeah. Shaking my head.

Didn’t he just do that?

It's premature to predict PSU will be top 5 or even top 15 next year. We lose a few starters on the DL, King at LB, Reed at S, Kimber at CB, and others TBD. I think we'll have to wait and see who returns and who we can pick up in the portal.

Just with Allar and Singleton (if they return) should be enough to have us as a preseason top 5-8 team after the semifinal run

Allar will be a stud NFL QB, if he can get drafted to the right situation, but he's coming back.

I would have loved to have a season of Beau at the helm, but that's not happening ... he's gone. But he would have really opened up this offense by providing that running threat and having the arm to still make throws.

No clue what we have in Grunk. Haven't seen much of him, obviously.

Let's just move on.

If we lose to ND we'll finish between 3 and 5.

Think of it this way. Ohio State will have a new QB, Oregon will have a new QB, Notre Dame will have a new QB, Texas will have a new elite QB, Georgia will have a new QB...we're the only team returning our QB of the final 4 + Georgia and Oregon....add Bama having a new QB.

QB means more than anything in preseason polls

Also, we still could finish 1st

You would want Allar going to the worst franchise in the nfl with a failure head coach that has not produced a competent oline in over 10 years?
I'd want him to play for Daboll...they have money to fix the OL. Doesn't mean they will but they can. Daboll is his ideal coach with his skillset

I am a Gianta fan. Daboll is an awful head coach. The line must be fixed prior to the qb. Otherwise you run the risk of ruining a young qb.

No NFL team is going to draft Allar from what we've seen from him so far that highly, so that's just pure fantasy. If he has a very good to great season next year, then he perhaps could be a first round draft choice.

Right now, he's a slightly above average college qb whose mechanics swing wildly within games, throws floating deep balls, most of which would be picked off by NFL d-backs, and really hasn't demonstrated yet that he can process things at an ultra fast pace that is needed to succeed in the NFL. NFL teams aren't going to draft a qb like him very highly, who really isn't going to provide a running dimension, without him playing more than he has so far in college.

We disagree on Daboll completely. Injuries have killed the Giants along with their GM. He's one of the best coached for a young QB.

An OL can be fixed quickly. That's on them to do it. You don't ignore a QB until you fix it. Now if Allar doesn't enter the draft...which he likely won't...then go BPA but that won't be OL

Yes any scout that watched us against Oregon and Boise is taking him top 5. The way he's disrespected here is comical.

A number of nfl teams have him qb1 now and possibly the best in the 2025 class if he came out.
