Tom and Terry specifically refuted any cuts to the women’s program. Some of the women may follow Perry to ASU, but it’s not funding related.

This is pretty much what I have heard with a slight twist. Iowa has a fairly influential donor who was a former wrestler ( lets call him AF). AF is a very good friend of Perry and made a donation to cover Perry's salary and has donated other money along the way. The money was still going to be short to cover the women and expand the men who are coming into HWC. AF and the Brands thought Perry would be ok with cutting the women some and he wasn't. I don't think anyone did anything bad, but they were trying to do the best they could with the available resources. The pledges toward the new stand alone facility have made it harder to tap those same people for more HCW money. Brands did not want to cut back anything he just couldn't raise enough money to keep it all and grow it at once.

Berge out for the year was not even close to true when he posted it. Berge was still working toward a return to the mat for six weeks after dblz said he was done.
It didn’t work out but his season was obviously not over when dblz said it was.
dblz predicted that Berge was done at a time when Cael was telling everyone who asked that he wasn’t sure if Berge would make it back this season. That really doesn’t make dblz Bob Woodward, does it?

I’m also near certain that when dblz was *first* saying “Berge is out for the year,” he most certainly was not. I usually match up what dblz is posting vs what I hear. Imo, he takes info that is close enough to being true and posts it as a “scoop”.
That there was any discussion about funding at all that lead to anyone leaving in any way was directly refuted by HWC president Randy Novak.
Oh the irony....slush fund, steroids, cheaters, cheaters, cheater. I am all for accurate information but worry about the "facts" on HR first. As you can read, this board didn't buy it hook, line and sinker.

Bentley called the coach who spread the rumor to recruits about the program being in danger a "special kind of scumbag" because that's where it starteD... Clearly you didn't listen to the interview, coaches spread that his program may be in danger to gain leverage on recruits. I've spoken to both App state coaches about it, they know where it started. Clearly, you didn't pay attention to the interview.
