In the 174 preview on Flo, Ben Askren said he would take Starocci over anyone other than Kemerer, and added, "I could even see him over Michael Kemerer." I think Starocci has the potential to have a Penn State career among some of Penn State's greats. As Roar states, "Trust the process." What are your thoughts? I am excited to watch his career unfold. I agree Starocci is a big, strong. agressive! 174 . I think he can give Kemerer a run for his money. Although, Kemmerer has that oldman strength! Is he like 35 years old??

my thoughts are thst this kid is brutal and he has an attitude and heart to go with it cant wait to see this kid. we have so many young guys in the line up now hard to believe nick lee is the veteran lol

Kemerer is the obvious favorite, and Massa could be interesting at 174.

Starocci is the guy nobody will want to face in March, including the national semifinals.

Didn't he graduate high school when he was like 20? And the NCAA gave him like three extra years of eligibility so I think he'll be like 28 this fall and will probably turn 33 when he graduates in the spring.

From their post-Scuffle podcast, Askren and Dernlan both felt Lee and Beard we’re a bit too “hot and cold” to be considered podium locks when they step into the starting lineup. On the other hand, Ben was shocked by how good Staricci looked. I’m betting the “Scuffle assessment” is where all of this is coming from. Well, except for Brooks, that is.

I'm not sure what I enjoyed more. Askren getting knockedTF out in 4 seconds or Jordan Burroughs mauling him on the mat after Ben ran his mouth. Taylor ripping apart Downey was always fun aswell.

Personally I think Askren and PD3 should fight to the death gladiator style. I would pay to watch that. I'd even bring ice cream cones and popcorn for the hungry cancel crowd
