CFP Prediction

There is NO legitimate argument to rank Penn State behind OSU—NONE. Both lost to Oregon in close games but OSU lost to a mediocre Michigan for the FOURTH consecutive time at home when they were a 19.5 point favorite.
Didn't OSU beat PSU at PSU ?

Why play in the champion game if it causes you to drop behind a team that plays then. Opt out

I'm glad the committee stuck to their promise about the conference game losers. Pleasantly surprised with our playoff road too.

I believe we got the best path in the playoffs out of the non-bye teams. Just "out talent" these to and see what happens after that. Not saying it will be easy tho.

Heather Dinich with ESPN projections are usually spot on because I think she has inside information with the committee. She has Penn State the 5 seed and playing Clemson. Other first round matchups are SMU at Texas, Indiana at ND and Tennessee at Ohio State. Byes are #1 Oregon, #2 Georgia, #3 Boise State and #4 ASU.

This would have been better, I think, for first round alignment and fan participation. All they had to do was to swap SMU and Clemson, which would have made sense since Clemson beat SMU. PSU's path would have been just as easy.

I don't know much about either team (SMU/Clemson), but it would seem from their comeback and awful start yesterday that SMU might be more capable of creating an upset than Clemson.

Franklin has some serious pressure here. He cannot flop in the next two games. Then he will get a chance to prove himself with one of the Big Boys in a semi-final match. Until then he has little to gain and everything to lose.

James has to win the big game… nothing is assured. Weather has to neutralize SMU speed otherwise it’s another Oregon game.

We'll see how wrong I am but

12 Alabama/SMU at 5 Texas (Arizona St)
11 Clemson at 6 Penn State (3 Boise State)
10 Indiana at 7 Notre Dame (2 Georgia)
9 Tennessee at 8 Ohio State (1 Oregon)

Penn State and Notre Dame are interchangeable but we should be 6
3/4/11 can probably all shuffle too
The rest are locks
I'd say Bama is 12 but....
So, I only missed 11 & 12--I'll take it
Worked out better for us

you missed the only two that weren't obvious, btw
Fair enough--though you might want to let the experts know who all had multiple other changes such as ND at 5, Penn State between 5-9, etc.

1-2 & 8-10 were the only locks...though 5-10 should have been a lock

Get outta here. You were bleating for days about Bama getting in and that everyone had to deal with it. You were wrong.

Didn't OSU beat PSU at PSU ?

Didn't PSU finish 2nd in B1G Regular Season and duhO$U finished 4th???

BTW, this same situation happened in 2016, but in reverse, and you were likely one of the hypocritical douches arguing that duhO$U should be ranked higher than PSU, despite losing head-to-head to PSU, and be in the 4-team Invitational over PSU. Let's not forget that duhO$U won the CFP 4-team Invitational in 2016 and didn't even deserve to be there over PSU according to what you're now arguing. LMAO at what hypocritical, biased douchebags you b2g types are.

I was asking you when you said that OSU lost to Michigan several weeks after they beat PSU. Again, I ask. what does one have to do with the other ?

Nothing
The topic was ranking teams and why one would be ranked behind another.

Try to keep up.
