Cliff Kean Las Vegas Wrestling Tournament

I am not one to compliment Pitt but they got a real steal in Micky Phillippi. He is a kid I wished that PSU had looked at. I know that his offense was not really prolific in HS but I thought he was a really good prospect. He was so close to getting out from under Lizak last night and Lizak's only point came on the RT. Lizak is supposed to be better than average on his feet, too. Phillippi took him down twice and the next time they meet, if they do, I expect Phillippi to get out from under him and the match won't be as close as it was last night and it wasn't that close last night.
We did.

"The two-time PIAA champion picked Virginia over Penn State, Iowa, Virginia Tech and N.C. State."

There was another article at the time (can't find on my phone) -- Cael was very gracious when Phillippi notified him of the verbal to Virginia.

You're right.

We should have thrown some more money at him, he may be an AA. Better him than what we have currently at 133. Or 141 for that matter.

Anyone know what time the finals are?

The clubbing in Stevenson’s semi was getting out of control. His coaches may want to have a talk with him as it may end up in him receiving a lot more unnecessary punishment over the course of a season as the UNC kid had enough and was more than happy to give it back . He will make it very difficult to root for him with a lot of the antics.

13-8 40 seconds left, Ashnault might be fading, Micah probably not enough time

Massive chest wrap by Lewis, no backs though, then M. Amine w/ a reversal up 4-2 late in the 1st

I happen to enjoy heal Gable, but those who don't will be happy to know he left the match with a bloody nose!
