We've never had the top 3 vote getters though.....
PSU has had #1 and #2 three times (2012, 2018, 2019). PSU had #1, #2, and #4 in 2012.We've never had the top 3 vote getters though.....
That criteria technically changed. They're saying Carter shouldn't win and that the Hodge doesn't take into account what happened in previous seasons. I guess they're unaware of Derringer taking another Hodge from Zain even though he deserved it a lot more.
My guess and my guess only is if Starocci and Brooks both win out then they're going to do joint between them.
Doesn't matter. As long as the criteria are not weighted, they're merely suggestions. That criteria technically changed.
Has any team ever had two Hodge winners in the same year?My guess and my guess only is if Starocci and Brooks both win out then they're going to do joint between them.
Just give it to the entire back half of the lineup. LOL.Has any team ever had two Hodge winners in the same year?
We should have had Jason and Bo both win the year Bo won it. If ever there was a year for co-winners, that was it.Has any team ever had two Hodge winners in the same year?
2022 Penn St. RBY, Lee and Starocci were all undefeated champs. Brooks and Dean were also champs but each had 1 loss. But remember, it was a shortened season and the Ivies didn’t compete so we have to put an asterisk next to it. 😂😂This team is poised to set multiple records.
Whats the record for undefeated champs?
Seems strange that DT and Ed arent in this group2022 Penn St. RBY, Lee and Starocci were all undefeated champs. Brooks and Dean were also champs but each had 1 loss. But remember, it was a shortened season and the Ivies didn’t compete so we have to put an asterisk next to it. 😂😂
Penn St had 5 other years with 2 undefeated champs.
2017 Zain and Nolf
2018 Zain and Nickal (Nolf had the medical forfeit)
2019 Nolf and Nickal
2021 RBY and Brooks
2023 Starocci and Brooks
And that was just a matter of unlucky timing. Had they competed the year after the Steveson/Lee split award, they may well have shared it too.We should have had Jason and Bo both win the year Bo won it. If ever there was a year for co-winners, that was it.
The bar of greatness at PSU has actually been upped since their era somehow, which is ironic since Cael's dynasty is going to end when they left.Seems strange that DT and Ed arent in this group
Taylor and Ruth were both undefeated champs in 2012. I was using wrestlestat initially but data only goes to 2014 there. The bar of greatness at PSU has actually been upped since their era somehow, which is ironic since Cael's dynasty is going to end when they left.
Soph seasons musta beenTaylor and Ruth were both undefeated champs in 2012. I was using wrestlestat initially but data only goes to 2014 there.
Same for Carter.AB hasn’t gone seven minutes.

Same for Carter.
Molinaro was also an undefeated champ in 2012, so that was another year when PSU had 3 undefeated champs.Taylor and Ruth were both undefeated champs in 2012. I was using wrestlestat initially but data only goes to 2014 there.
Good catch.Molinaro was also an undefeated champ in 2012, so that was another year when PSU had 3 undefeated champs.
You're getting your seasons mixed up. That was 2021, aka the year Iowa won. So you're right, let's put an asterisk next to that!2022 Penn St. RBY, Lee and Starocci were all undefeated champs. Not to rain on your parade or anything, but 2021 was the free year, which also was Starocci’s freshman year (which is why he could win 5 if he so chooses). Starocci’s loss to Washington was that year. In 2021, only RBY and Brooks were undefeated (Lee lost to Eierman in B1Gs).You're getting your seasons mixed up. That was 2021, aka the year Iowa won. 2022 was the year Iowa was supposed to confirm their mini-dynasty but fell flat on their face. It wasn’t a shortened year, so no asterisk. Madden is wrong about that.
