I heard Jones interviewed on Sirius XM College Sports Nation last night. Here are a couple of gems from everyone's favorite columnist:
Said the PSU fanbase is "spoiled rotten" and has unrealistic expectations. This from the jack wagon who has been trying to stoke the Franklin is on the hot seat fire. With the exception of a few loud mouthed posters I think most fans have been patient and understand that the team is emerging from sanctions and the cloud of the Sandusky debacle.
One of the hosts stated that "College football is better when Penn State is relevant". Jones reply was that he disagreed. He prefers to see off the radar programs do well. What??? You do not think it is a good thing when the program that you cover is relevant?
What a douche. How about saying something like: "It was a great win for the program and I am happy for the players and fans who stuck with it during the tough times". Is that too much to ask for?
