David Pollack: Penn State has no shot to beat OSU

I agree with him. Doesn’t make him a hater

they are going to pile drive Michigan too, but you know Mushmouf has hope

As do I. Is an upset possible? Sure. I just bought a MEGA Millions lottery ticket for Friday. I have little chance but I do have a chance and so does PSU. I think they're about the same chance.:(
I have to be honest. I'd take my winning over the team's. I'm selfish that way.:)

I imagine that we be safe in assuming that absolutely none of your projected winnings from the MEGA Millions lottery would be diverted into product quality enhancements.

I prefer when everybody is writing us off. No expectations, no downside if we lose and all the motivation in the world for the guys to pull off an upset.

Bet they don’t....bet they sell Michigan as having a legit shot to beat OSU and build up the “game of the year”.

Last night on BTN's The Big Show Howard Griffith said he thought Michigan was the tougher challenge for tOSU.

Geeze, I hadn't thought of that. I could invest some of it to make a bad product even worse! With that kind of creative thinking I may have a place for you in my organization. I'll have my people call your people. :)

That could be as much about the fact that the game is at Michigan as opposed to how the 2 teams match up with OSU. Or maybe Howard thinks very little of us. Who knows.

Yeah right, you have already made me that hollow worthless promise twice before. And I even bought a glow in the dark suit for our projected meeting in the abandoned tunnel that serves as your company headquarters.

I’m not talking about the press. Oh yeah, they’ll pump up Michigan. It’ll be nauseating and delusional.

Won’t matter - the Buckeyes will have something extra for Shea Butter and his boys.

My people never called your people?
Are your people still living in the Hampton's or is that Jay Leno's people?
Anyway, I will look into this as soon as my schedule permits. I may need to get new people. Then, either my new people or my old people will get back to you. I hope.:)

Why should anyone give a damn what those idiots say. Should we upset OSU the heads of all the fan boys at BTN will explode. Once they glue the pieces back together they’ll begin whining about how a one loss OSU that doesn’t win the BIG championship should be in the playoffs anyway.

This is not a David and Goliath situation. When considering the weather forecast this game is going to be much closer than people think. An injury, sloppy play or an unforeseen penalty can keep the game close. Coach Franklin and his coordinators will need to put together one heck of a game plan and the players will need to execute that game plan flawlessly.

Why do people get so bent out of shape about predictions? They have absolutely no bearing on the outcome of the game. If PSU can somehow win or make the game close, the team will have their respect.

Well, based on the performance of the defense over the past two games (giving up 31 and 27, respectively) , it is a logical assumption that OSU would, at home, put up something in the 40's. And, given that OSU's defense hasn't given up any more than 21 (majority being garbage points), then it is not an unreasonable assumption.

The defense, starting with the 2nd half of the Michigan game, has not played very well.

And it has lead to 1 loss by 5 pts. , on the road at an undefeated Minnesota in their biggest home game in years, because of a highly questionable call where we were knocking on the door to win it at the end. Bottom line is, who cares how many points we give up as long as we score one more than they have. Folks need to get unhypnotized from the “eye test” b.s. let’s actually play the game and see what happens, with no “hindsight bias” posts either.

Will they get respect?
They put us on upset alert against Maryland. When we curb stomped Maryland the narrative was Maryland sucked.
They said that the Kinnick night game magic would get us against Iowa. When we won the narrative was that Iowa wasn't very good.
To hear BTN tell it, we lost to Michigan.
If we beat OSU it will be the weather, or the Chase Young eligibility distraction, or the phase of the moon, or that Ohio State really wasn't any good, or our win was flukey.

I really dont care about his predictions, but he's probably right. Does anyone really think our OL can block Young?

Pollack said our OL was our weakest unit.
He must not have watched any recent games.

Against Minny/Indiana not too bad. But, against a real Big Defense, i,e, Mich St. Brown 12-45, Clifford 7-11; against UM Cain 5-19, Clifford 11-17. Not an impressive performance by our OL again.

BTN has been shitting on us all year I don't know why they would stop now.

so what. Actions speak louder than...
Or as Al Davis said: “ Just win baby”
Don’t know what the math says about our probability of winning, but am certain it is more than 0%. My swag would be something like 15%-20%- but that’s just a swag, not the math.

They got enough respect to be ranked #4 in the country prior to the Minnesota loss.
