Unbelievable! That is a really, really bad look on several levels. Such poor judgment

I’m just thinking about the, what was it, $ 60 M BIG fine PSU had to pay. It could have gone toward the victims. Why didn’t something like this happen with MSU and tOSU ?

It’s certainly fair to suspect/expect he has no idea how to respond to the obvious questions. But he agreed to join this panel months ago and the only new thing is the matter of CUM. The bigger issues were out there already.

Let's see if the"press" does their job and asks the hard questions. At PSU, they lynched a guy that did more good for student athletes than, perhaps, anyone in the history of college football. We now have a much worse situation at MSU and multiple problems at OSU. It appears PSU performed better than both schools. What is the conference and NCAA going to do? Where is the consistency? If they don't punish these schools, do they owe PSU an apology and millions of dollars back?
You forgot about the BOT who control everything and were the ones that started the PSU mess. They are not going to call attention upon themselves.

I don’t know how the media and B1G let him get away with this. He should be fired in light of the several scandals in this conference and his poor handling of each and every one. Has he made any statement about MSU and/or OSU? That is basic ‘do your job’ shit.
The hypocrisy this conference displays is mind boggling.
Because the University leadership is perfectly happy with the penalties imposed. Indeed, they would have preferred four more inches.
The media can do nothing. On matter like this, Delany follows the lead of the presidents of the member schools. Your ire should be directed at them.
PSU leadership probably insisted on the extra B1G penalties after coming oh so close on the death penalty.
In all honesty, it's because they still fear public perception. The University would rather see the B1G keep their stolen money than file a lawsuit to get it back because they fear more than anything how the great media of ours would cover such a suit.
After Nasir at MSU and after both situations at OSU, the media still has PSU and Paterno as their bulls-eye.

Joe and the football program were the patsies so that the BOT members who were also on The Second Mile board wouldn't face any personal liabilities for ole Jer's activities there. Also helped draw attention away from the contributions to Corbett and his slow walking the TSM investigation until he became Gov. AND enabled Corbett to punish Spanier for his comments about cutting PSU funding.
I would not be surprised that with the MeTooMovement that Delaney has some large skeletons in his closet that he is afraid will come out if he goes at MSU and OSU too hard. I doubt he is clean.
Apparently I was naive in think conference leadership, especially the commissioner, would welcome the opportunity to publicly step forward and provide actual leadership. It's obviously easier and more preferable to them to hide and avoid answering questions which may cast them in a bad light. A bunker mentality is a sorry substitute for leadership. But why should Delany care? He just received a $20 million bonus.
