Football Penn State Football rolls past Maryland en route to Big Ten Championship

So, how do we match up against Oregon?

By the way, I love how Franklin lets his backups play ball to the end. Forget the haters.

Yeah, Maryland was still trying to move the ball--why wouldn't we?
Oregon's a tough matchup for anyone. Best QB we've seen all year--they have really good receivers. Comes down to our offense and if we can score with them. Singleton and Allar have to be effective

You know how coaches can get flak when they push the issue with the game already in hand, that’s all I was saying, lol.

But yeah, PSU will need to play a complete game for sure. They have just as good a chance as anybody.

I don't give a shit about ND and there fluke touchdown late. That was no more impressive that what we did against SC and we were playing a totally different team. They should NOT jump us for the 5 seed if we lose to Oregon.

No because we made it to a conference championship game and they’re not even in a conference.

ND probably should have been flagged for DPI on the pick 6.
It was close for sure but...USC got a lot of break throughout that game--very disappointed they couldn't pull it off. Hopefully they get a true garbage TD here and cut it to a 1 score win--that likely keeps us ahead of them

I am going to comment on the play, not whether it should have been called.

Beau threw a nice pass, like many others he has thrown over the middle. I am looking forward to seeing a PSU offense that truly utilizes the quickness and speed of a QB that can also throw accurately.

That said, I pictured the same play with Allar throwing that ball. I think that particular throw would have had more zip. We will find that to be the difference when Beau starts. He is probably going to get some of those tight-window passes picked off for lack of arm strength.

Allar is a complete pro-style QB. Notice how the trajectory of his throws are appropriate for the situation. I like that Allar makes a soft pass when a receiver is wide open. Most don't do that.

The committee has said teams will not be penalized for losing a CCG. If we win I guess we will be 1-2 seed. If we lose I’m guessing we will be 5-6 seed. The SEC CCG winner and loser will be 1-2 and 5-6. Then all others will fall in behind that. Just guessing based on what the committee has talked about. Could be 100% wrong but if they penalize a team for getting there and bump a team that doesn’t play in a CCG it will set a dangerous precedent.

The only question about this is--if ND is ahead of us on Tuesday (they shouldn't be but might be) then that pushes us down a spot.

And they get another lol

I hope and pray we somehow get Notre Dame in the playoffs. There is no way they are a better football team than us.

I think ND is a better matchup than most others.

They put Ohio State ahead of us in 2016
