Not yellow flags by the refs...

but on the sidelines, it looked like when he was signaling to his defense, there were people on either side of him holding up a dark flag, or curtain to block people from seeing him. Never saw that before.

Seems to be something relatively new making it's way to several teams. I was at the Baylor - Iowa St game and both teams had something similar to block certain viewing angles around the guys signaling in the plays. Apparently there's some paranoia about opposing teams stealing signs or figuring things out once they are on tape. That game was the only time I had ever seen it until tonight. It's hard to see on TV sometimes but in person it jumped out at me and I've been looking for it more often now.

probably because there are tv cameras that can zoom in and count the pores on your skin and you never know if some idiot ABC producer is going to out your defensive notes to every tom dick and harry that's watching

Now someone is REALLY confused...just heard someone on a highlight show credit Don Brown for the Houston Astros ALCS defense!!!
...
...
... ok, just made that up...but it IS believable that it could happen ;)

Don Brown’s greatness is to the level that he needs to be hidden from everyone....can’t have lesser humans watching Don Brown.
