medal at some international tourneys or the afton quadrangularWhat placement will qualify the weight for the Oly's?
So you have to make a bronze medal match, I guess? Makes sense, "UWW sense (TM)," anyway....Top 6.
YesSorry for my lack of freestyle knowledge,
If Downey medal's .. Does that mean DT, J'Den, Heflin & others would have to wrestle off at 86kg to meet Downey in the Finals (Final X) for the Olympics?
Actually there is no Final X for the Olympic Trials next year. I'm not sure what the format is for the Olympic Team Trials next year except that it is all one tournament being held at Penn State.
In any case I am not worried in the least about DT making the Olympic team if he is fully healthy.
I guess the more interesting idea is that the spot will come down to one match, IMO. DT v J'den will be decided in 6 minutes rather than 2 of 3 series. Possibly Dake as well. Certainly will be an interesting bracket.
True, definitely not a given. Personally, and this is certainly not based on any facts or knowledge, but I am not buying the Cox to 97 theory...at least not yet. It's taken on the same life as Zahid to 84.It's not a given that Cox will go down. In fact, IMHO, he is more likely to go up in weight next year.
Wait, Zahid is going 84?!True, definitely not a given. Personally, and this is certainly not based on any facts or knowledge, but I am not buying the Cox to 97 theory...at least not yet. It's taken on the same life as Zahid to 84.![]()
He sure weighs a lot for his weight. It's not a given that Cox will go down. In fact, IMHO, he is more likely to go up in weight next year.
