E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles!!! Birds - Giants II Game Thread

And they're still running Saquon........and he now risks losing enough yards to go back under 1,000.

FFS. Who are these clowns?

Tom, thanks for all of these posts. Very exciting. Amazing job by Doug P (we named our dog after him, by the way). All season, Doug did well with all of the injuries -- especially for all of the in-game injuries.

Jason Peters is awesome, BTW. I hope he is back.

I take it the Eagles will play next Sunday. Can't see the league making the loser of this game travel cross country for a Saturday game.

Seattle to win. I like our chances against Jimmy G rather than Russell Wilson.

Unlike Seattle, the Niners have a helluva rushing attack. They also have one of the best TEs in Kittle and Sanders and an improving Samuel at WR. With the exception of a couple bad games, SF and New Orleans are the 2 best teams I have seen in the NFC this year.

Eagles host Seattle Sunday @ 4:40.
I won't be popular here for saying this, but I think the Seahawks are gonna win that game easily.

OTOH, the fact that the Seahawks will be heavily favored should help the Eagles come into this game loose, and feeling that they are essentially playing with house money. If they lose, no one will be surprised, but if they win, it will be considered quite a feat. They have a good defense, and Wentz is playing really well at the right time of the season.

Question for diehard Eagles fans -- or even casual ones (if there is such a thing):
Would you characterize the team's NFC East title and subsequent playoff berth as undeserved?
Reason I ask, is I was reading a blog/column on another site written by a Penn Stater and a diehard Penguins/Steelers fan but a noted Philadelphia hater that it was. Undeserved, that is.
Was surprised to see this, but maybe I shouldn't have been since he is so blind with hatred of the Flyers especially and I guess all things Philly.
I personally think he should grow TF up since he is 40-something, but n obvious toolbag.

Undeserved? Nope in the NFL everything you get has been earned.

Debating whether or not another team “deserves” to be in the playoffs is for losers sitting at home watching the game.

All the injuries the Eagles have suffered are undeserved. Its really not that uncommon to have a team with this record win a division. Its the nature of the cycles in the NFL. Go Birds!

Undeserving? That's such bullsh&t. The Eagles finished at 9-7. I saw Seattle get in the playoffs one year at 7-9 and the Vikings at 8-8. As someone mentioned, these things are cyclical. Plus the Eagles have had a ridiculous amount of injuries this year.
