Why? Seems to me to be a coin flip between OSU and OU.If OSU makes it, you know the CFP is corrupt and time to move on to a different system
Why? Surrendering 100 points collectively to umd and Purdue (one of which was a 29 point loss) is why. Why? Seems to me to be a coin flip between OSU and OU.

That is the same logic that screwed us in 94 when we would have curbed stomped most teams. A win is a win is a win. Why? Surrendering 100 points collectively to umd and Purdue (one of which was a 29 point loss) is why.
Fair enough, but a decisive (29 point) loss to a 6-6 team should mean something. That is the same logic that screwed us in 94 when we would have curbed stomped most teams. A win is a win is a win.
Odds to make playoff:
OSU -- 71%
OU -- 26%
Georgia -- 5%
Who comes up with these numbers?
I feel the same if Ga makes it.If OSU makes it, you know the CFP is corrupt and time to move on to a different system
But surrendering 189 in a 4 game stretch is fine (if we’re cherry picking stats)? Why? Surrendering 100 points collectively to umd and Purdue (one of which was a 29 point loss) is why.
I agree. By their own rankings, OU beat a better Texas team than OSU vs Northwestern yesterday. No way they should jump them based on yesterday. How could they justify OSU jumping OU based on yesterday’s outcome?

It would be based on the season as a whole, not yesterday. How could they justify OSU jumping OU based on yesterday’s outcome?
OU gives up almost 100 in single games. Why? Surrendering 100 points collectively to umd and Purdue (one of which was a 29 point loss) is why.
Not too prudent to use defensive ineptitude when promoting OU over OSUWhy? Surrendering 100 points collectively to umd and Purdue (one of which was a 29 point loss) is why.
Actually, they’re similarly inept. Not too prudent to use defensive ineptitude when promoting OU over OSU

Good point, and seemingly completely overlooked in the conversation. Big, bad Clemson's toughest games were Texas A&M, Syracuse, NC State and BC. And their conference showdown against 7-5 Pitt. Whoopie.. Who the heck did Clemson beat this year?

You can never underestimate the ability of college football to create a stupid idea/system, and then try and make it into a science.i think that loss does, and similar to last year with their Iowa loss. look at the "game control" metric. the guy who leads the committee spoke about that quite at length. they do not like teams that need to screw around into the 4th qtr putting the marginals away. they want to see those games turn into a non-contest by HT. even some blowouts by teams where all the scoring comes in the 4th qtr might have a low game control metric.
