Waiting patiently.........

If you need help getting started, I could roll out the # of mythical Dual NCAA championships the Gophers have won, or perhaps we could start with the PSU-Minny historical dual record?

Your call.

On a serious note - can't believe I'm writing that in response to this thread - I actually wouldn't mind a Minnesota thread with some info on guys like Lizak, maybe something on their redshirts, what's the long term plan for those middle weights, etc?

We could have Tognetti moderate a Cowboy thread and WildTurk head up an Iowa one (sorry Azchief, I like entertainment served up with my info and WT would guarantee that).

kr did this on other sites (rest, in peace), then CD started it again on Guillotine. Not a bad idea...Tom??

I'm not sure. As you noted, kr did something like this. My recollection is that he restricted that to some of the national boards. I don't remember seeing him doing that on a school-specific site. The Guillotine is a hybrid site, in that it's for the "Minnesota amateur wrestling community," and has message boards for 1) camps and training, 2) college, 3) high school, 4) club/freestyle/greco-roman, 5) youth tournaments, 6) girls wrestling, etc. In that context, it's not a site devoted to covering the University of Minnesota wrestling, though its College board has become the prime site for discussion of Minny wrestling. CropDuster made an "All Hail Cael" thread on that board, which does contain most/all of the PSU talk on that board. It appears that Jammen started an "Everything Husker" thread. There's also a "Recruits" thread. In short, it's not a U of Minny board, so "all things XYZ" threads seem more logical there than on this site. Hawkeye Report doesn't have an "all things PSU" thread, or an "all things Oklahoma St" thread. The Ohio State board (which, like The Guillotine is more set up for the entire state of Ohio, and has simply become the top place for Ohio State discussion, though the Ohio State Rivals site does have a wrestling board) doesn't have "all things XYZ" threads.

I'm not sure that there's a lot of interest, and Jammenz isn't the most beloved visitor on this board.

All that said, it's not something that I'd delete, unless it got out of hand, so I guess Jammenz could start it. I reserve the right to change my mind about that. ;)

By definition, a TIDBIT is "a small and particularly interesting item of gossip or information."

Next to that in the ol' Websters is a "JAMMENZ TIDBIT", and says "it's an even smaller and particularly less interesting item of gossip or misinformation."

Ill go on record and say the use of "bump" will be the most overused post in a Jammenz Tidbit thread. Just only so much info coming out of Minnesoda other than kids trying to be somebody and the continued search for a destination for left over NCAA championship shirts.

I don't know - Wild Turk is a bit of a Fat Shamer (poor Sammy Stoll, brother can't help that he's half Minnesotan/half Samoan).

Sounds like a plan. To add 3 new Jerry Springer threads, but a plan nonetheless.

Also "Link or it didn't happen."

Here are a couple trial tidbits:

Ben Morgan is the son of AA and Olympian Gordy Morgan, nephew of all-time great Marty Morgan. In his first Gopher start Ben won by pin to propel the team to comeback win over Purdue.

The B1G Frosh of the Year was started in 1988. Minny (Nix, Lawrence, Reiter, D Schlatter,J Ness), Iowa (Tom Brands, McIlravy, McGinness, Mocco, McDonough), PSU (Kolat, Hunter, Billman, Storniolo, Taylor) are all tied for lead with 5 each.

If you keep this up, your Flo PFP Troll ranking might be in jeopardy.

Seriously, good stuff.

I think that's a great idea, I can't even post on the OSU board because I have been banned (I give OSU a bad image, what do they know). There's to many nice guys over there so I have to go to other boards just to stir the pot and have a little fun. I need to be a mix of Amalone and Johndoe, the perfect moderater!

When did you get banned?

tidbit:
The B1G Coach of the Year has been won 6 times by Penn State. Fritz, Sunderland, Cael 4x. JRob has won it 8 times, single-handedly tied for most wins with Iowa's coaches.
B1G titles won: Cael 4, JRob 6.

Tidbit:

JRob is not a Minnesota native nor is he from OK where he went to school. He grew up in San Diego and graduated from Mt Miguel high school around 1965. Bet you didn't know that.

tidbit: The Big Wrestler of the Year was established in 1986. Penn State has won it 6 times: Kolat, Hunter, Taylor 3x, Ruth. Minny has won it 8 times: Giese, Zuniga, Konrad 2x, Morgan, Hartung, J Ness, Lewis.

All the Minny/Penn State comparisons in the Big Ten results are fascinating but we all know the data is skewed because Penn State began competing in the Big Ten in 1992-93 whereas Minny was in from the start. How about a breakdown since Penn State joined the Big Ten and then another breakdown for a comparison since Cael started coaching at Penn State?

Tidbit: in the last 20 years 25 % of the winners of the Hodge Award as wrestler of the year has been Cael Sanderson or a wrestler coached by Cael

Still living in the past !!!

tidbit: PSU has a winning record against almost all teams. They even started out with a 5-0 record against Minny since their first meeting in 1986. As you all know the tide quickly turned and Penn State hasn't beaten the Gophers since Feb 6, 1998. Other teams with losing records to:
Illinois......... 6-9 began 1956
Iowa........... 8-26-2 began 1982
Iowa State. 10-13-1 began 1921
Okie State.. 6-12-1 began 1982

Well you dodged my questions so it's pretty obvious that you have no connection to JRob.
