FC: The Kane Trial in Norristown

For those of you interested in the trial, Bill Keisling is attending and writing up his observations. Follow him on Twitter:

Thus far, Keisling is knocking it out of the park. Tremendous job of summarizing what a freaking sham this entire abortion is

Of course, most of the public - and presumably many of the jurors - will never be willing to spend the 30 seconds of intellectual analysis that would be necessary to be convinced of the nature of this sham

Kane shit the bed by not cleaning house in the AG's office on Day 1 - - - but the depth and breadth of "scumbagery" in that crew is just bewildering.

Beemer, Fina, and the entire cabal of corrupt scumbags. And in case anyone is wondering, our new PSU AA El Presidente, and BOT Scoundrel-in-Waiting - Mr Steele - who is also a "pal" of some of our PSU Trustees (including member(s) of the A9) - is part of the Fina Boys scumbag cartel

As a society, it is AMAZING how freaking lazy we have become - - to allow folks like this to lord over us
We - as a society - have certainly, through our refusal to engage in anything but idiotic sound bite information processing, "earned" the putrid leadership we ALL suffer under (kinda' like seeing Lubert/Dambly "leading" Penn State)

The larger picture that this case illustrates?
God help us.....we certainly are not willing to help ourselves

This is somewhat discerning; I was hoping that Kathleen Kane would win this kangaroo trial hands down.

“This much is certain: It’s a show trial, and the old and the new and something blue are on show, not just Kathleen Kane.

At the center of it, in her powder blue suit, tight-lipped but obviously pained, comes mystical Kathleen Kane.

She’s a new woman in an old man’s world, a loose cannon, uncontrollable by her political enemies.

These guys, I think, might stop Kathleen Kane.

But they can’t stop the world that’s changing around them.

They are losing their grip, and fading into the past, their memories of how things used to be in Pennsylvania shimmering like mirages, like the heat out in the street.”

Maybe that’s what’s really eating them."

Keisling is great. A real journalist. Thanks for the tip.
Like a needle in a haystack these days to find a real journalist. It's beyond me how Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy can allow the prosecution to claim a "revenge tactic" when the whole reason for this case is a Frank Fina revenge tactic for the Moulton report inquiring into the Sandusky case. That and the finding of the Porngate emails by Kane... Montco seems to be Alice-in-Wonderland for blatant misuse of power as far as the judiciary and AG's office is concerned. I'll bet Castor was glad to get away from there.

Kane is absolutely getting railroaded. How can the OAG be so concerned by a Grand Jury Leak in a fourth-rate newspaper article to try to take down the sitting Attorney General when they have been going to extreme lengths to not look into the Grand Jury leak to Sara Ganim that broke open the Penn State/Jerry Sandusky fiasco? The state of the Pennsylvania judiciary system is in the toilet.

eh...{shrug}....her conviction was assured from the first moment the grand jury was convened. The only question remaining is how many years she'll get in the pokey. My money's on a five year sentence. I love living in a third-world banana republic.

Not about anything but Kane being guilty of being a stupid, vindictive, ****. Which she is, and she will learn this lesson the hard way.

Mhentz, I'm starting to feel that you are right.
  • Kane is convicted
  • Kane will be relieved of her position now, and the corrupt can breath freely that there will be no further investigations into Corbett's cronies in the next three months
  • Rafferty is elected to the OAG position
  • The entire populace of Pennsylvania is relived that the state law enforcement is now controlled by a sane, upstanding and respected state senator and return the OAG to policing real crime, NOT the vindictive motives of the previous administration
  • The Second Mile will be pushed aside and soon forgotten...the MSM will continue to be in cadence with the wishes of Corbett's cronies.
  • The fired persons of the AG's office will discreetly return to office...of course this will be over looked by the media
  • Maybe the Three Musketeers will spend the rest of their lives on the court docket
Tell me I'm wrong.....please

nice description of Kane , BUT It appears to me that those two words can be inserted into all the parties involved....specifically Corbett and his cronies. ;)

Glad you gave Kathleen four stars (****), I would have given her five stars had she not fallen for the trap set up by Fina and company.

WE ARE....recruiting great

The old boy network in action. If Kane was a man people would say it was simply political hardball. Instead, she's labeled as "crazy", "vindictive" and "stupid" plus a variety of other names which are insulting to women.

Stupid? Maybe. More likely she's just not the politically savvy animal that Fina and his fellow gunslingers are/were. "There was no following the law, they just make things up"

Vindictive? Not so sure on that. We do know Tom Corbett was vindictive when it came to Graham Spanier. "I told them to do it"

Tom Corbett is gone from public service. Frank Fina is gone from public service. I am told these guys, along with others were sloppy with regards to their email conversations. Where is Doug Gansler?

IMO, this entire shitstorm that is now rolling across the Kathleen Kane landscape came from a singular lie of "anal rape in a shower" placed in Fina's grand jury presentment. Lives, livelihoods and reputations of everyday commonwealth citizens were seriously damaged or destroyed by this singular lie from public officials sworn to uphold the constitutional rights of those very citizens they stepped on & destroyed.

Public officials using grand jury secrecy as both a sword to target political opponents & gain election points, and as a shield to hide behind and gag others.

I wish the press would go back in time and establish the pattern of behavior of those in office before Kane, instead of writing tabloid sh*t.

1. She's a politician who sucks at her job, she played politics then cried the mean boys are picking on me when they also played .
2. She sucks at her job. She's not respected by LE and other prosecutors .

"She sucks at her job" except when she's vastly increased the number of pedophiles who have been arrested.

And since the "other prosecutors" are a bunch of porn-swapping misogynists it's hardly surprising they don't like her v

Curious:
She ran for state attorney general and “promised that she’d investigate the Jerry Sandusky sexual assault case. She wanted to find out why that case had taken so long.”

The prosecutors objected.

With that, Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy summoned the lawyers from the courtroom to her chambers for a lengthy discussion away from the jurors.

When the lawyers came back, Shargel was no longer talking about Jerry Sandusky and broken Pennsylvania government.

Judge Demchick-Alloy had already ruled that Kane’s team could not make mention of porno emails Kane had dug up; now it appeared the defense was barred from discussing Jerry Sandusky.

Well said Aoshiro, but take it easy on Elvis. He's still has a hair up his a$$ after his Hawaiian performance and told Mr. Hawaii, Don Ho and Tiny Bubbles music will endure forever, over shadowing Elvis

This is exactly how and why the bad guys win sometimes.

My view is that this Kane situation has been an excellent way for us to identify who among us is rooting for the bad guys. IMHO, that is about the only good that comes out of it.

Mark them down.

This is the only news up date I found on the web, it doesn't make sense to me, maybe I'm reading this wrong? help?

Kane Trial Day 3: Boxes of files brought in by prosecution team
News 8's Barbara Barr is at the courthouse in Norristown

NORRISTOWN, Pa. —The third day of Attorney General Kathleen Kane's trial is underway and boxes of documents have been brought in by the prosecution team.

Bruce Beemer, former First Deputy in the Office of the Attorney General and current Inspector General, testified in court.

Beemer said after seeing the Philadelphia Daily News article that published Grand Jury secrets it was "clear they got this information directly out of our office."

When Beemer spoke with Kane about the apparent leak, he said she responded by saying: "Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal. We have more important things to do."

Beemer said: "If the material in that document can be released we might as well do away with Grand Jury secrecy."

In court, Beemer said Kane "didn't say anything about getting back at Frank Fina." Beemer also said Kane "didn't say [to] obstruct the investigation" and "did nothing to obstruct."

Beemer is incorrigible

If it served his purpose to say that his Mother had three penises.....he would swear to it on a stack of bibles.

And he probably doesn't even make the top 5 list of Scumbags in the Fina Boys posse......(if, for no other reason, he is so GD flat-out stupid that it limits the amount of damage he could do as anything other than a piss-boy for a puppet-master)

Another reporter may have known about the Mondesire investigation before Kathleen Kane allegedly leaked it

Another reporter may have known about the Mondesire investigation before Kathleen Kane allegedly leaked it about possible misuse of NAACP finances. It did not contain any information about Mondesire having been a target of a grand jury investigation.

Kane’s attorney asked Miletto whether he knew if Thompson had any actual grand jury transcripts. This the type of information that later appeared in the Daily News report. Miletto said he didn’t see that Thompson had any, but that Thompson had told him he did.

An email record between him and fellow AG’s office employee David Peifer showed that on March 19 Miletto expressed concern an article about Mondesire would come out from Thompson that would reflect poorly on the Attorney General’s Office.

The article that prosecutors say motivated Kane to seek revenge on former employee Frank Fina came out March 2014 in the Inquirer. That would’ve been at least a week after Miletto was contacted by Thompson about Mondesire. And according to discovery, prosecutors say the leaked information about Mondesire left Kane’s office in late April 2014. That would’ve been weeks after the email sent from Miletto to Peifer.

So, long before the alleged Kane-Fina feud had reached its boiling point, it’s possible another reporter had insider grand jury information.
