Thanks Bopper. I was confused at first, then realized you must be talking about Brady Berge and not Beau Bartlett 😄

Funny fact about this year’s roster. We have 2 BBs - Brady Berge and Beau Bartlett; and 3 ABs - Aaron Brooks, Adam Busiello, and Austin Boone
We even have 3 CSs if you count coaches Cody, Cael and CStar

What are the odds, seems a bit crazy right?

Question about Rokfin Dispersion of Money. As we learn more about the algorithm that distributes the money. I would like to know if the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club gets more of my money if I sign up and auto renew every month OR if I cancel after 29-30 days each month and then rejoin under the NLWC each month? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ... I also support Willie Saylor and PA Power Wrestling. How can I maximize my contributions to those I want to support? Thanks in Advance

Bout order

1-Terrell Barraclough v. Kyle Shoop 155

2-Jarod Verklereen v. Brock Zacherl 155lbs

3-Jaime Espinal v. Brett Pfarr 196 lbs

4-Bekzod Abdurakhmonov v. Nestor Taffur 77kg

5-Jane Valencia vs. Vayle-Rae Baker 60kg

6-Carter Starocci vs. Devin Skatzka 182lbs

7- Michael Beard v. Greg Bulsak 205

8-Greg Kerkvliet v. Demetrius Thomas HWT

9-Alejandra Romero v. Alexis Porter 68 kg

10-Beau Bartlett v. Bryce Meredith 67kg

11-Roman Bravo-Young v. Shelton Mack 140 lbs

12-Jason Nolf v. Bubba Jenkins 167lbs

Ranked by my level of interest. No disrespect to those at the lower tier. I will happily watch every match with enthusiasm.

Canceling and re-subscribing seems like a hassle. Just doesn't seem worth the hassle
If you want to make sure PSWC gets cash, just write a $100 (or more) check to PSWC in addition to your monthly Rokfin.

Wasn't Cenzo supposed to wrestle at one point? Was he one of the "contact tracing" guys?

After talking to coach, it's HOW you sign up, regardless of when or how often. Once signed up as a NLWC subscriber, the % retained is the same, regardless of whether it's your first subscription, or multiple subscriptions (such as subscribe -- cancel -- subscribe, etc.). And as someone else said, it's a bit of a pain to cancel, then re-subscribe.

As I understand, the success of these events means that more will follow, so a continued subscription would have value for Penn State fans if they want to see the action live, at least in the short term, as I'm not sure of the plans much after January.

Canceling and re-subscribing takes me 10-15 seconds max. Three clicks. But I don't want to do it if it doesn't help. I am fairly certain I saw a Willie post on here that indicated that when you sign up....a large portion of the 10.00 goes to whomever you sign up under and each month there are some residuals......Similar to a typical Insurance policy. You get the most when you sign up a new customer and much less when they renew. But if I am a "New" customer every month......they get more money. Just trying to maximize my donations to those I most support.

From a previous thread. This is from jtothemfp:

I'll give it a go....

1. "It can’t be this hard to understand, right?".
- Wrong. When translating mathematic algorithms back into English--especially attempting so from the outside, in reverse engineering fashion, it absolutely can be extremely difficult. Rokfin's algo explanations are out there, though, in however many different places (their RAE White Paper is one; Floreani's twitter vids are another, tho)

2. "Can anyone please inform us what exactly we need to do in order for the NLWC to properly collect for the events they do?".
- The mainest/first thing we can control is: which Rokfin Page to Subscribe (initiate our Rokfin platform membership) to when we sign up.

3. "I’ve seen all kinds of tweets/posts about other creators stealing off some of the money meant for the NLWC. So how do we insure that doesn’t happen again?"
- All of that was about trying to get ppl to choose a non-NLWC Page for a new Subscriber's Initial Platform Signup. Home Mat Advantage did this ahead of the NLWC Sept Event, but pretty quickly deleted it.
- If you have already signed up ("Subscribed"), the signup portion of the algo has already been apportioned to the Page you Signed Up via ("Subscribed")
- If you wish, you *could still: cancel your platform Subscription, and create a new one under a different Page
- Anthony Ashnault suggested this after the NLWC event, when he first appeared on Rokfin, but also subsequently deleted it. The deletions of these "stealing" attempts seem to indicate (along with Floreani specifically acknowledging Cael's expressions of beef about the practice) that the Platform founders recognize it's against the spirit of the Rising Tide Lifts All Boats aspect they market the platform on, for Creators to compete against each other for this, apparently coveted, Home Page Subscription/Signup.

4. "Is it based on your subscriptions? Clicks? How you view? I’m subscribed to NLWC and Smalls."
- Unless you currently own & pay for TWO separate Rokfin Subscriptions, you are not "Subscribed" to both NLWC AND Smalls
- "Following" is a separate feature inside the platform, likely with its own algorithmic $ apportionment tied to it, which is different than the Subscribed apportionment. How much of your $10 pie is apportioned to Subscription and how much is apportioned to Following, I don't know the answer, b/c I haven't unpacked the White Paper or Floreani videos yet.
- "Clicks" & "Views" (the same thing) of different Pages or content inside those pages undoubtedly earn some portion of the algorithmic $ distro as well, but how much, I do not know

Based on the post you quoted, it sounds like if you cancel and sign up again, that doesn't count (although not sure what would happen if you had subscribed under someone else previously, canceled and then signed up under NLWC).

I guess you could cancel and then sign up under your wife's name or something, but IMO that would be an even worse gaming of the system than the content producers trying to use the NLWC event to get people to sign up under them.

Cael said the NLWC is planning one event per month through January. If that’s the case then why cancel and resubscribe?

Wife? Do you know something I don't? :}

It seems to me that if you cancel your NLWC Rokfin account and then sign up under your wife's name, then NLWC gains your wife's new money but loses your new money. So, there should be no net money effect on Rokfin and NLWC.

But, if and when you get a divorce, your wife might carelessly keep paying for the account in perpetuity. Cha Ching! :)

Wouldn't that mean you are paying for 3/4 of the total?

Does anyone have the direct link to the event? Or is it the same as last time? Thanks...

I doubt they’d lose your “new” money. Just your “recurring” money. And apparently it seems there’s more money for the creators in the “new” money than the “recurring” money.

There is a rokfin app but only available on iPad and iPhone. Can’t download it to Apple TV. If you have Apple TV you should be able to cast from your phone or iPad.

wait. is it pronounced sta-roCH-y with the CH like cheddar? i always thought it was sta-roCK-y.
